This was one of our favourite places on our trip to Samoa (Aug13). The staff were genuinely kind locals who wanted to make sure you had the best time at their lodge. Meals were generous and tasty and if you wanted some junk food you could walk across the road to the shop. We (Partner, Brother and I) stayed in... More

Vai Moana's lovely staff made sure that my two week stay with my 2 and 14 year old was a dream. The highlights were the boat trip out to Crab Island which has stunning snorkelling on the seaward side, seeing turtles in the lagoon at the front of the resort, and an amazing massage from Rosie. The free kayaks are... More

This is no 5 star impersonal resort, which is the great thing about it. It is run and owned by locals who care about their guests. It has friendly helpful staff and is situated on a beautiful beach, one of the few beaches accessible at high and low tide on Savai'i. There are kayaks and loungers on the beach. Swimming... More

Second time at Va-i-Moana and it was even better than remembered! Upon arrival we had booked a beach front fale. The weather had been average the past couple of days and the staff were concerned what that night would bring so they upgraded us to a bathroom bungalow. It was a much needed splurge of luxury as we were traveling... More

We stayed on a beach front fale, that was clean and comfortable. Food was traditional Samoan and we experienced fresh caught mahi mahi for dinner. The people here are ultra friendly and the resort provided great entertainment especially Fiafai night dancing and music.

My family and I stayed for 1 night and we loved every bit of it. We left only regretting not booking another night. 2 words to describe this beautiful place "HIDDEN GEM". We couldn't believe our eyes when we checked in. The view from our beach fale! It was stunning. The bungalows and beach fales were I found very fascinating.... More

We really enjoyed our stay. But! No hot water even asking the, about it. We ended up just living with it. Also beach very rough with coral. We stayed in unit, clean with bathroom etc, just no hot water. Food good, friendly staff

What an awesome find!!! Great village meets Beach holiday vibe, awesome accommodation right on the water ( watch the stars and water while you sleep!) the loveliest staff, delicious meals ( our best in Samoa so far- the local guys went out and caught a huge mahi mahi for dinner! Ocean to plate in 2 hours!!) lots to do within... More

When i came to Vaimoana, i originally intended to stay there for two nights, only. But then i liked it so much that i extended my stay and extended and extended....Actually, i didn't like to leave anymore. I just simply loved it. In the beginning, i stayed in one of the three very romantic beach fale with my own private... More
