M y husband and I have visited Tanu three times and love the relaxing atmosphere, the great beach and the friendly attitude of the owners. We found the proximity of the fales to the beach outweighed the mattresses on the floor and was a delightful introduction to island life. The food was adequate and varied and we enjoyed meeting a... I stayed one night with my partner and we got a warm welcome and a beautiful fale just beside the beach. The dinner was a big plate with typical samoan food and it tasted really good. The beach is stunning and the water was calm and clear. The people at Tanu beach fales are very nice and careing and the... More

My gorgeous new husband and I stayed here for four nights for our honeymoon and totally fell in love with the place. We found the location romantic and relaxing in its simplicity and home-grown feel. The fales are large-ish open aired rooms with roll down/up walls made of woven flax that are magic at keeping rain out our cool night... More

Basic accommodation but the surroundings, staff and food is simply awesome! I travelled by myself but met many great friends at this place thanks to the communal dining and breakfast. Ask for a fale by the beach, you will get an amazing view and the crystal clear water is pretty much two footsteps away from you fale. Already miss this... More

I stayed at Tanu Beach Fales for a week back in 2009 for my aunts wedding, the staff were fantastic and extremely friendly. The fales are the best way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, right on the beach front where you will spend majority of your time lazing in the sun. all round fantastic trip and amazing value for money.

This was our first stay in Samoa and one of the first places we booked. We hired a car and drove around Savai'i before arriving at Tanu Beach Fales late in the afternoon. The staff were incredibly friendly and showed us to our fale, right on the water (Princess Diana, ask for it if you can!) This is certainly very... More

In my opinion Tanu beach fales are on the best beach in Samoa. It is about 1h north from the wharf. We got a taxi but ended up renting a car from next door for a couple of days. In hindsight I would have hired it from the beginning as it gives you lots of freedom to explore and cheaper... More
