The location of Joelan's is stunning - simple fales on a white sand beach overlooking a crystal clear lagoon. Waking up to the sunrise each morning is a pleasure (even for us non morning folk). Fale Soa, her husband Sione and her daughters are warm, friendly and generous hosts who make sure you are well fed and comfortable in your... More

Unfortunately we only had one night here, although as a couple in our mid fifties, we realistically would stay maximum 3 nights. The beach is gorgeous and the water warm ++. We loved spotting a turtle as we sat looking out from our fale. Breakfast lunch and dinner is included and the quality of the meals was fantastic. We are... More

We stayed for 11 nights in a open beach fale. Best decision ever made. It was the most relaxing holiday in a long time. Very much Samoan way of life. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included is just perfect. That meens that you can spend your days swimming, tanning, reading, frisbee or volleyball and never have to leave the place. We... More

Siona and Fala Soa made sure that everyone was well fed and comfortable the staff was friendly and willing to interact and teach many different traditional ways of living the Samoan life fishing hat making basket making catching crab preparing umu. We had the best time ever: the view is just incredible, the water is like a swimming pool, the owners are very nice and the food is yummy. Every afteroon we got coconuts and we spent our holiday chilling and swimming. I would like to be there again now!

A nice and low key place to stay for a night or two. The fales (little open huts) is right on the beach, so make sure to not leave your flip flops outside, as the tide might take them. The fales come with mosquitonets and you share shower and toilet facilities with the other guests in a separate little house.... More

Joelan's Beach Fales is incredible. The people there are extremely nice and the food there is absolutely amazing. For only 50 Tala per person per night, you are spoiled like no other. We had the best food during our entire trip at Joelan's and enjoyed every one of our 6 nights there. I'll go ahead and list some categories and... More

Joelan Beach Fales offered a friendly welcome. I arrived at about 10am and was immediately given breakfast and settled in to my Fale. The fales are basic - a mattress on the mat-covered floor with a mozzie net, and that's your lot, but what more do you need. The blinds were not quite waterproof and in one squall, the girls... More

My family stayed at Joelan last weekend and we had one of the best experiences in our life. Falesoa and Sione who owns the place were so generous and lovely. Their meals were so delicious. For $50 tala a night you seriously can't go wrong. Only problem I had was the toilet. It wasn't cleaned on a regular basis. Still... More

Our family recently spent a week at Joelan. It is very basic accommodation, right on the beach with the water lapping at your fale at hight tide. The beach is lovely, with snorkelling in the lagoon available right outside your door. Lovely white sand with trees available for shade. I was worried about the dogs based on previous tripadvisor comments,... More
