A charming hotel with lovely, clean rooms. We were 3 people and had a queen bed & 2 twin beds up in a loft with a balcony overlooking Banos (Rm #9). There's a public balcony with a view of the pool & mountains and a charming patio for breakfast. The staff were wonderfully helpful and accommodating; truly above and beyond.... More

we stayed at this Hotel for one night during our Travel in Ecuador. Reception/ Disinterested handed over a form and sign here! Luggage to your room? Told our guide to take it up and then relented and somebody was found to take it up. Room? Plain, reasonably clean but you could hear all conversation from the room next door. We... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Volcano hotel and we were very satisfied. The location is 2 minutes from the "center" and it is green and very quiet. Small pool and a whirlpool in a nice garden. Gated parking, if you have a car. The view of Banos from our room was amazing (see attached my picture). Rooms need a... More

WE stayed i two rooms while we were at Volcano Hotel. Our first was on the top floor, a very large room #12 with slanting roof (you need to be conscious of ducking). It had a wonderful balcony, and the room also had a strong space heater which was needed as the room got really cold in the night and... More

Around the bus terminal, the plaza central and the plaza iglesia are dozens of hostels; infinitesimal rooms, no keys, single light bulb, broken window, wall paper from the Nixon administration; All have at least 3 dogs. There are streets that run between the plazas that are lined with dirt bike and quad rentals, chiva excursions, massage parlors, souvenir shops, and... More

The hotel has an ideal location on a quiet street but just a few blocks from everything in town. The property is very attractive. Our spacious room had a patio with a view of the waterfall and even had a loft. Breakfasts were very good. I think it would be difficult to do any better in Banos.

This hotel would have much potential if 1) they could speak a little english 2) they could learn of how to interact with the public and be a bit more service oriented. 3) if their restaurant was open, don't count to eat there. It is though easy walk distance to other restaurants.

Me and my husband arrived in the afternoon and soon we notestthat we started to fell scratchy. The room was not properly clean, especially in between the double mattress, after asking for it to be cleaned, the scratching and red patches on our skin continued...even after showering. Had booked for 2 nights but only managed to get refunded for half... More

We happened upon the Volcano after rejecting several others, and were so happy we did! It is well located in a quiet part of Banos near the thermal baths, and offers peace, quiet and relaxation - plus absolutely wonderful beds and GREAT pillows. The pool and jacuzzi are in a lovely garden with a nice view of the cascade. LOTS... More
