We stayed here for three nights. As all other reviewers note- the hotel is lovely. The food the best we had in Ecuador. The included breakfasts are simply AMAZING. The staff are wonderfully kind and attentive. The American owners were extremely helpful and provided lots of local information. Two words...loved it! From the quirky building to the amazing breakfast...it was perfect. Our room was clean, "funky" (in a good way) and had a lovely view of the garden and the waterfall. My husband and I spent a few days there with our daughters (ages 19 and 22 ) at New Years. The place is lovely, well maintained, excellent staff, delicious food. The owners are interesting and very accommodating, preparing a special salad for my daughter, recommending the excellent massages at the hostel next door ($25 for an hour!), lending us money... more

The best place in Banos to stay...hands down! We never needed to go anywhere else for a meal as the food is fantastic even for a gluten-free diet! We booked room 8 specifically for the waterfall view and that it would accomodate our entire family (including two children ages 8 and 11). We found the room to be an excellent accomodation for our purposes. The beds were comfortable and the kids really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. We could see and hear the waterfall from our bed as well... more

We stayed for two nights and that was enough. The staff were very friendly but found the owners not particularly friendly - in fact she didn't even introduce herself .
