My husband and I stayed at Hotel Mont Selva in August 2014 and felt the room was not worth the money we paid which was $82.00 for a double cabin (room # 202). The room smelled moldy and musty, the walls were painted brick- very unwelcoming- and worst of all, there was no wifi as stated. The jacuzzi spa didn't... More

There are hotels which think it is sufficient to be located in a touristic area and thus do not offer any service or care about maintenance in their hotel. Monte Selva was such a hotel for us. When trying to change the room we were offered they left us with the feeling to bother them. Same experience during the breakfast... More

Notably bad service, catered for national mass tourism on weekends and holidays. Dead during the week with half of the spa facilities out of order. Stains in bed cover, bathroom smells of urine. Overpriced, look for a better place for less money

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights (Friday - Sunday). Our overall impression was that it was a location used primarily by Ecuadorians or folks from this continent. It's a big complex able to accommodate large or small groups .. it was being used our weekend for a wedding reception. We took a walk up the path leading... More

The pool and the tubs in the spa are useful at $8.00 per person but beyond that I would not pay for any other service there. The ground and atmosphere were nice a quite and well kept the spa room is next to the pool area and was a little noisy.

We stayed for two nights. The arrival was efficient and our room was ready. It is at the end of the one of main streets of the town of Baños and this is one of best aspects of this hotel. It is quiet. Our room was adequately prepared. It was in the building looking towards the restaurant next to the... More

We arrived after a long trip and were given a room on the first floor overlooking the attractive grounds. Our credit card was charged upon check-in. Things turned bad when we tried to take a nap and a loud construction generator roared outside our window. After a half-hour of unbearable noise, we spoke to management, and the generator was turned... More

We stayed at Monte Selva for 2 nights in July 2012. There was 6 of us, 4 in a cabin and 2 in a regular room. The cabin was very pleasant, it slept 5 with bunk beds, a queen and a twin. The room was clean, decent water pressure and excellent hot water, anyone who has spent time in Ecuador... More

During our 3 night stay, my I Pod "disappeared" after the room had been cleaned for the day. When the front desk was informed, they pointed to a sign stating they were not responsible for lost or stolen items. I wrote an email to the hotel management explaining the situation but received no response. I would recommend you try one... More
