The hotel is located in a beautiful place overlooking the mountains and volcano. Almost every room has a different look, from old fashioned with a fireplace to very modern with huge windows. There are two friendly dogs and a lama on the premises. Hotel restaurant looked very romantic, staff was extremely friendly and caring and the food was delicious. Highly... More

The ground to this hotel is amazing and so picturesque and when I was there they labs had babies that were the cutest they greeted us when we got off the bus and melted our hearts. It can get cold so bring warm clothing and do walk the grounds it's breathtaking. Meals ok, service okay, location great! Wifi in main... More

Having spent several days in the Rain Forest, Manteles was a small piece of "heaven on Earth"...we have stayed here many times during the past 8 years and each time is PERFECTION! The Hacienda is beautiful, the staff are like family! They do everything they can to accommodate us - their smiles are worth the visit!! The rooms are gorgeous... More

We arrived at the historic Hacienda Manteles after a week in the most remote region of the Amazon, so just being dry was a treat. But the Hacienda was something special. It offered phenomenal views of the active volcano, cozy bedrooms each with fireplace and wonderful friendly family type service. Just amazing!! It's nestled on a huge active farm, so... More

I had the best sleep here. The hacienda has been transformed into a B&B, but we stayed in one of the newer rooms on the grounds. You can walk around the property and beyond to enjoy the view of the volcano. You can also play with the resident dogs. Hang around the fireplace in the main house and enjoy a... More

Located up in the hills, and about 25 minutes away from Baños, this old Hacienda is a relaxing place with outstanding service. Staff is incredibly friendly and pays attention to every detail. The place is quite large with plenty of open spaces, so it’s kids-friendly. The restaurant offers several meal options, all with a distinctive taste using local ingredients. As... More

We stayed in one of the modern rooms that is separated from the main house so we had a room that was very spacious and had great views. The room was clean and comfortable. The property's restaurant was very good considering the size of the property. All of the hotel staff that we encountered were all friendly and made sure... More

Nice hotel set in the hills overlooking Tungurahua volcano( which was erupting during our stay-a wonderful spectacle of colour and lights).Room in the garden - only heating was a small portable radiator but huge alpaca blankets were on the beds.Food is good with a nice breakfast. Loved the house dogs and their puppies!

I was not in the "main house" but in one of the other small buildings on the property. The room was quite lovely, but if you put the electric heater on, the lights flickered and went out at times. Fortunately, the room had heavy blankets (maybe alpaca?), so I didn't freeze. The water in the bathroom was a very very... More

My spouse and I stayed here for one night during an 8-day tour of Ecuador with Gate 1. Because we traveled in a group of 32, we were spread over the entire estate. He and I were one of the couples who had one of the 5 rooms in the main house--each named after a volcano. Ours was Santay. With... More
