First off, I can't say enough about Aase and Ove - they went above and beyond for us during our stay. We arrived very late because of the bus from Quito to Banos (4.5 hrs), but when we got here we were greeted with smiles despite the late hour. They were able to take our breakfast order for the next... More

Great stay at this lovely guest house. Owners very friendly and helpful, and the bread made for breakfast was delicious! If you get chance go to Casa De La Abuela...it's a great walk up if you are hikers (alternatively get a taxi) and remember to take your camera for some great shots swinging over the valley! Also Santa Ana thermal... More

If you want excellent hosts, super clean rooms and bath, comfy beds, good value, pleasant surroundings, and easy walk to town, stay here! We had a wonderful stay for three nights last week. It is easily the best B&B in Ecuador and probably my most favorite stay in any B& B anywhere. The prices are extremely reasonable (they are usually quoted... More

We loved our stay at Magic Stone in Banos. Ove and Aase are magical hosts. They accommodated our family of four in the Red Room. The rate was very reasonable and Aase made us excellent breakfasts each morning and even arranged for our taxi pickup on our departure day. We would love to stay there again on our next trip... After three days at Magic Stone, we did not want to leave. The hosts are fantastic and do everything in their power to make you feel at home. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. But the best thing is the breakfast. Everything is homemade and the quality of the food is superb. Order everything you crave for, pluss a bit.... More

We stayed three nights at Magic Stone and it was great. It is literally 5 minutes walk from the center of Banos- a safe walk also at night. It is clean, spacious, quiet, cute and I felt very safe. It is also in the safe part of town from the volcano :-) The breakfast is the best. Everything is home... More

We stayed in Magic Stone for 2 nights. The B&B was a real relief after having stayed in several hostels around the Quilotoa loop and in Latacunga. The Danish couple who owns the place is lovely and they make great breakfast (all own made!). Amazing bread, pancakes, jam and fresh fruit, served in the living room with views over Banos!... More

We arrived by taxi from the bus station and were welcomed by the charming Danish hosts Ove and Aase. Getting acquainted with them was a large part of why this is a magical place. The property sits on a small hill overlooking town. It is a short and safe 5 min walk to town. The rooms are spacious and very... More

Am absolutely pleased I booked this place. I was worried they wouldn't have availability. We arrived late on the day but the owner came out to greet us. We felt bad as it was late but he immediately made us feel welcomed. Immediately I was so pleased at the size of the room, bedding, toilet, décor- it looked and felt... More

This is one of the best stays i have ever had during my travel through southamerica. I'm still missing the amazing breakfast with selfmade whole grain bread, selfmade jam, a wonderful cheeseplate and all the things you miss whilst travelling. The house is a place to feel home in the moment you enter it. You will have breakfast in the... More
