I forgot to mention the awesome breakfast including a really nice fruit salad, Müsli, fresh bread, Avocado, cheese, tomato and homemade jams. Really tasty!! On rainy days they allowed breakfast to be quite longer than ten o clock. We had very cosy breakfasts including inspiring Chats with the hosts and other guests.

Loved our visit to La Casa Verde! Arrived late in the day after a long drive from Cuenca and were greeted to a tranquil room with the sound of the river...no traffic, no street noises. The breakfast is delicious - everything homemade and right from their garden. The baked goods are divine - especially those brownies! The house is beautiful... More

Had a wonderful stay at La Casa Verde. Huge rooms, calm, spotlessly clean hotel, really beautiful tasteful simple decoration. The managers Jemima and Keke (sorry I bet my spelling is totally wrong) were the best - always around to help, call you a cab, advise on hikes or just have a chat. Thanks guys! And the buffet breakfast was amazing,... More

We found this hotel to be quite lovely. Our problems with it were predominantly that everyone we met spoke English. While people from all over the world visit Banos ,English is often the common language, here though they appear to cater to Americans that don't think learning even a little Spanish is needed to visit a Spanish speaking country. The... More

Quiet, comfortable location a bit out of town above a river; a nice respite after having been in a big city immediately before our stay. Very friendly atmosphere with people from many countries. Visited often with other guests about their experiences. Kind and resourceful host family, very helpful with ideas about what to do and connecting us with good resources... More

I found La Casa verde - Eco Guest House by looking on trip advisor and what a great find it was. Just a short cab ride or walk to town. But super quiet place to sleep, no car horns beeping and car alarms going off every 5 seconds. The staff are friendly helpful and are happy to call you a... More

Baños is a fabulous place to get away from it all and create your own adventure; La Casa Verde is the place to stay while you're there! A lot of effort and intention have gone into making this an eco-friendly place - you'll enjoy the handmade soap and fresh-filtered water, not to mention the produce grown on-site. The rooms are... The setting is quite nice. It is not isolated, as I had pictured it before arriving (this could be good or bad, depending on your perspective). It is in the outskirts of Banos, about a 20-25 minute walk to the center of Banos. Taxis are cheap, and cost about $1.50 and the staff/owners will be happy to call one for... More

Do yourself a favor and stay here! We were seeing our son, who has been living in Ecuador, for the first time in six months. Could not have picked a more perfect place. So easy and friendly. The hosts are beyond accommodating and helpful. We have been able to totally relax and enjoy delicious breakfasts together while enjoying the views... More

The owners and employees of the guest house are incredible and very accommodating. The rooms are overlooking a beautiful canyon and you can lie in one of the many hammocks while watching the birds flying overhead and listening to the sound of the river below. They include a great breakfast with bread, granola, fruit salad, jams, cheese, tomatoes and avocados.... More
