The "Hotel Hacienda El Salitre" is a spectacular colonial site, an ancient farm with centuries of old history. The place was visited by famous people as the liberator Simon Bolivar and characters of Colombian history. It was owned by the Jesuits, the chapel built there is beautiful. We attended a family wedding and the place was just magical. We stayed... More

The hotel is just wonderful. Historic buildings and an environment really beautiful. Rooms are good. The thermal pool is great. The service is splendid, even though is not the traditional professional service that one can find in international hotels of similar characteristics. People are very nice and helpful Food has improved.

We visited the othwEr day the hot springs at the hotel. The horel is a old monastery that has been converted to hotel. It is a nice cozy place. I think it is good for couples. Not sure for small kids since there is not much to do for them. The hot water runs into a pool which makes it... More

Very well located, country side, beautiful landscape, colonial environment remembers you the history of our country. Small chapel, small museum, nice room, some of them with thermal water inside. Breakfast is very good. You have a lot of spaces for enjoying a peaceful moment

Once a year , we like to go to Hacienda El Salitre to enjoy the romantic ambiance of the hacienda and to visit the many atractions in the area ( laguna Tota, small villages ,Paramo Oceta ...) . Unfortunately rather than improving the hacienda is clearly sliding down on some aspects which a good management should adress and solve .... More

Together with our daughter, son in law and 18 month grandson we have spent an enchanted weekend in this colorful hotel with modern amenities inside an authentic 18th century Hacienda. We were a group of 4 adults, 2 teenagers and a baby. The hotel folks were very accommodating, and provided us with a crib for the baby at no extra cost. The hotel is just beautiful. It is also a historical site - a colonial hacienda with its own private thermal pool, gardens and a spectacular ancient tree in the... More

This is a great place for vacation; nice, quiet and secluded, perfect for a honeymoon or just to get away from the city stress and the Bogota traffic. Very nice accommodations, excellent Colombian cuisine and a very relaxing swimming pool with warm thermal water. My family and I have stayed at this hotel over three times with a great and... More
