Once a year , we like to go to Hacienda El Salitre to enjoy the romantic ambiance of the hacienda and to visit the many atractions in the area ( laguna Tota, small villages ,Paramo Oceta ...) . Unfortunately rather than improving the hacienda is clearly sliding down on some aspects which a good management should adress and solve .... More

Together with our daughter, son in law and 18 month grandson we have spent an enchanted weekend in this colorful hotel with modern amenities inside an authentic 18th century Hacienda. The service, the breakfast and the meals were excellent. We all enjoyed the thermal pool and the beautiful garden and courtyard with the impressive big tree inside. A real treat 175... More

We were a group of 4 adults, 2 teenagers and a baby. The hotel folks were very accommodating, and provided us with a crib for the baby at no extra cost. The hotel is just beautiful. It is also a historical site - a colonial hacienda with its own private thermal pool, gardens and a spectacular ancient tree in the... More

This is a great place for vacation; nice, quiet and secluded, perfect for a honeymoon or just to get away from the city stress and the Bogota traffic. Very nice accommodations, excellent Colombian cuisine and a very relaxing swimming pool with warm thermal water. My family and I have stayed at this hotel over three times with a great and... More

Brilliant old colonial hacienda that really brings you back in time. Sadly, the facilities seem equally as old and no effort has been made to sympathetically modernise them to bring them to a suitable standard. The rooms are dated and scraffy, with a horrible carpet that one is reluctant to touch. Our bathroom had a 'thermal pile' that looked pretty... More

We recently stayed at this hotel. We spent one night with a big group. Hotel is beautiful. service is excellent, and breakfast is very good. It is a great place to spent one night o have it as a based for a few days to explore the towns near by.

We went to see the house and just have lunch. The hotel premises are spectacular. It is worth to go and see . We did not stay, just had lunch. The food was ok, nothing special. Service could improve a lot. There were many annoying flies. There is the biggest Ocal tree I ever see in my life in the... More

This 500 year old site has kept its original design. The staff is very helpful and friendly. One gave us a brief tour of the site. The pool is fed by thermal springs and is wonderfully warm to hot. If you are looking for a relaxing site, this is it

This historical hotel has an romantica, colonial atmosphere off the charts. Regretfully it is as bad as it comes on service and for food quality. I was served a plate of prawns that were so rotten that I could smell them coming many steps before they arrived at my table. The waited even admitted he had noticed the rotten odor... More

Our room had two small windows, no ventilation and was extremely small (beware of the wide-angle lens on the pictures). The towels were stained, the foam pillows hard, the minibar had a very limited assortment of very cheap snacks. Information at the front desk was horrendous. They did not have a clear idea of things to do in the area.... More
