Los Fuegos is nice enough, but it's a cab ride or bus journey from town and facilities on-site really aren't extensive enough considering there's virtually nothing in walking distance other than a petrol station. Breakfast was pretty ordinary and in line with more hostel-like accommodation, although the rooms were cosy. I'm no great user of room service, but the opportunity,... More

We had great expectations of this hosteria after reading some of the earlier reviews. Sadly we were largely dissapointed. On the plus side: the hotel is very clean and the rooms are quaint (read "small") with good bathrooms and decent showers. The beds are lovely and very comfortable and the area is very quiet so sleep is not a problem.... More

Our travel agent recommended we stay here and I was extremely disappointed. The small inn looks nice in pictures but is located 6km from town (a 15 peso taxi ride) adjacent to the town´s industrial zone so forget about a pleasant walk from your hotel. It is located down a steep hill in a second growth forest so you get... More

We had a very pleasant stay at Hosteria Los Fuegos , our bedroom was very cosy , the bed was extremely comfortable , the wood decor very nice . The location was very quiet and all one heard was the gentle sound of the River Olivia and the birds of the Lenga Woods around the Hosteria . It had a... More

We stayed at the Hosteria Los Fuegos for 3 days before our cruise on the Mare Australis around Cape Horn. I agree with other commentators about the beautiful setting, the nice design, and the friendly staff. We spent some time in the upstairs library/computer room with its big windows looking out on the forest, wood paneling and colorful sofa. It... More

This is a wonderful, smaller hotel off into the woods about a 10 minute cab ride away from the city of Ushuaia. The hotel simply gleams with its natural wood architecture fitting nicely on a hillside above a nearby river. When I was there the hotel was new enough to not be well-known by taxi cab drivers so there was... More

Just returned from a trip to Argentina / Antarctica including Ushuaia and we stayed at the Hosteria Los Fuegos and Hotel Ushuaia. Hotel Ushuaia was over priced, outdated with appalling service - not to mention a bit out of the way. Hosteria Los Fuegos on the other hand was fantastic. The staff were really helpful and friendly, helping when our... More
