I enjoyed two nights here. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was perfectly adequate for a day out around town. The staff were friendly and tried hard to answer questions even across the language barrier. The Bella Vista is out of town a bit and so its a 40 min walk into town.

First off, we didn't book this place. Our reserved hostel was overbooked and sent us here. We didn't put up a fight based on the other decent reviews here. We should have. First, the streets around the hostel were all dirt and the neighborhood was very run down. I understand Ushuaia has a lot of unfortunate poverty, but that's not... More

Clean. Great wifi. Nice views. Includes decent breakfast. Over 2 miles to city center, cheap taxi ride. Breakfast is the only meal available in the hotel - 8-10am. No coffee or restaurant otherwise. No cafes nearby (walking distance). Thin walls, so not as quiet as we would have liked. No dresser for clothes. Very little English spoken. Proprietors are very... More

I've been there on September/2008. Since then I tell myself to write this review. The hotel is not on the city center. There are buses available, very good service. Hotel was very good. The manager was awesome. Her sweet kid must be a handsome guy right now. Breakfast was goog. Clean place, good service. I remember renting sky clothes in... More

We love the place, the hotel's view, the support that Elenilda, the hotel owner gave us, besides the delicious breakfast!

Staff and owner very helpful. Room was clean and the breakfast was good. Easy access to buses going to town. Situated in a quiet neighborhood.

I stayed here 2 nights. It cost $6 from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is located in Ushuaia (population 65,000). However, it is approx. 3 mile downtown. I like to walk and walked to town both days. No one spoke English but she understood some English and I spoke a bit of Spanish. The hotel appeared to be... More

I stayed at Hosteria Bella Vista during late October 09 having travelled from the UK as a single traveller. Firstly; the lady that owns the hotel is friendly, helpful and very informative. She listened to what I planned to do and offered some suggestions that made for a better stay. The rooms are warm, clean and simple yet comfortable. I... More

We stayed in Bella Vista for 2 nights in dec 2009, and we can hardly find something to complain, since the warm of the owner, mrs Elenilda, is something that fills the hart with good vibes. The rooms are simple but clean and with, of course, a bella vista (good view) of the city. Breakfast is good and also the... More

This place is not in a good location. We bought a package so we don´t know what the cost per night was for the room. But if you think you are saving you´ll probably spend that money and time in transport to downtown (the place to be is near San Martin Av). The staff was nice but not the best... More

Elenilda, Manager at Hosteria Bella Vista, responded to this review

We do apologize if your staying with us was not pleasant. Unfortunatelly we can't make changes at the city hall as to paving our roads, and that is a problem for many hotels like ourselves, specially the one's in a new neighborhood. Not mentionning that Ushuaia is town that was not planned at its beggining, but the city are working... More
