Friendy and helful staff, and Maria the owner. The hotel had a great view overlooking the the Canal Beagle and the city. The breakfast is perfect. La Casa de Te is a real cozy place, the and the cakes a suit dream. I recommend. more

We had a very nice stay at Cumbres del Martial in Ushuaia, and can definitely recommend it. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and it appears that it may be a family-run operation. It is a little far from town, but a couple of daily seven dollar taxi rides were not a problem, and there were pretty much always taxis waiting... more

The hotel is 7km from town up a series of hairpins. It is at the bottom of the chairlift. There are a number of cabins and a block of several small rooms located amongst trees. We had a huge cabin with jacuzzi and log fire and an enormous bed upstairs, although oddly all the hanging space was downstairs. Access to... more

Very homey place. We liked the convenience of the detached rooms and the views of the forest. Argentines love cakes and tea, specially in cold places like Patagonia. Make sure you try their "tortas" with great tea assortment. Very nice to go for a walk in the morning or in the evening when you come back from your daily excursions. more

We visited Ushuaia slightly off-season, i.e. not in winter but also just before Summer which meant the place was less busy but blessed with very pleasant weather. We found out about Cumbres del Martial from a coffee-table book covering boutique hotels and the like while in Buenos Aires and immediately knew this place was special. Perched on the hill overlooking... more

Cumbres del martial exceeded our expectations. It is very cozy and charming. We stayed in a standard room with a fantastic view of the Beagle Channel. Every afternoon some bottled water and a special treat were brought to room. The tea house has outstanding pastries, desserts and main meals. The best part of the stay was the customer friendly staff.... more

We are just back from a 3 week trip to Argentina and our stay here was one of the highlights. We splurged on one of the 4 cabins and we couldn't have been happier. The hotel is in a stunning location a few miles above the town of Ushuaia, right next to the glacier. We had a rental car so... more
