When we arrived at the Tango B&B, our host, Raul greeted us with a smile and simply said "Welcome home." We knew from that moment, we were going to love our stay at his home. After having been 'trapped' in Buenos Aires for 48 hours due to customs complications with our camera equipment, we finally arrived in Ushuaia tired, weary... More

One night Raul & family arrived home about 8.30pm & informed myself and the other two fellows quietly watching the TV "that they were going to have dinner & wanted private time." We had to leave the common area. I had to go to my room. Not friendly to me. I believe if you are going to have people under... More

Three nights here at Tango have been great. Paul, my host, has been exceptionally helpful in last minute excursion bookings, getting the Internet back up and operable ( we are at the end of the world!) and providing a lovely light breakfast. My room, with private bath, has been a Godsend after 9 days hiking in El Chaltan and Torres... More

First off, I´d like to say that you cannot find better hosts than Raul and his wife. The moment you set foot at Tango B&B you feel a special welcome and that is what makes this place feel like a 5 star accommodation. Fine breakfast, majestic accordion playing, and spectacular views make this place unique!

I have a special bias concerning Tango ByB. I am a (once and future) professional accordion player, so part of the attraction for me was the opportunity to hang out and exchange music with the owner, Raúl, who is an excellent accordionist. He even presented a very nice program of tango music one evening for the guests. In addition, Raúl... More

It was a really quaint and great find on the internet. Owned by an old couple who really enjoy the traffic from across the world. They even have a register where people have written in their own languages and then translated into English. The place lives up to its name as the Old Gentleman teaches you Tango each evening, where... More

Nothing really to complain about, just seemed very average for the price. Pros: excellent internet, helpful bilingual owner, good breakfast, hot water, space heater in the room. Cons: some rooms have private but separate bathrooms across the hall, rooms (at least ours) were small and basic, location well out of centre up a long hill. A unique bonus was the... More

Stayed here one night in January 2014, for tourism purposes. The rooms are basic; mine had a great view over the mountain range to the North of Ushuaia. The living room has a great view over the Beagle channel, which you can enjoy during your breakfast, which is basic but gets the job done. Internet is included in the room... More

We stayed for a few nights in January, and found this to be the worst experience of our month-long trip through Argentina even though it was the most expensive. There is no breakfast, just plain bread and jam and coffee. From our private room upstairs we could hear every single thing happening in the living room below, which often made... More
