It's located just a few minutes from the shore, the shopping and restaurant streets and museum. I strolled along the streets for hours and walked back to rest ...back and forth. It's very convenient. The dinning room was homey decorated. Full breakfast was served in that lovely room which was good for the start of the day. One complaint was... More

Hotel Albatros is ideally located for those going on Antarctica Voyage. You get a good view, and you are just walking distance from the port. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in the vicinity. The rooms are cozy. The breakfast, though, has limited choices.

I was looking for a well-located hotel with a room big enough for myself and my family. They offered me a huge suite, with a tiny balcony facing the town and with a view of the Ushuaia port area and beyond. The room's bathroom had a bathtub - a must for the kids - and was spacious enough to allow... More

This hotel is a short stay place for those departing or arriving Antarctica. The shock is how cold it is in Ushuaia, but the hotel is warm. The rooms are very small, a little larger than a ski lodge. Breakfast is buffet style but seating is at a premium and restocking the buffet is a problem. The desk staff are... More

So, this hotel has a really beautiful lobby, very friendly staff and it is in a good location. However, the rooms were REALLY tight. I had to stay at this hotel as it was booked for by Antarctic tour company. I would not stay here again, or I would ask to be in a different room. The room had two... More

A one night stay before boarding our Antarctic expedition ship. Rooms clean very small and slightly above roadside motel standard. Breakfast was good not very good. The place is set up to run as transit motel for all the expeditions. An adequate place to sleep and eat

I stayed at the Hotel Albatros for one night prior to boarding our expedition ship to Antarctica. Arriving in the morning (around 0900), I was able to check into the room immediately (which I had hoped for but not expected), so that I was able to shower etc before heading out exploring (after spending all night flying and in airports... We were in Ushuaia prior to boarding our ship for our trip to Antarctica, The hotel is located directly opposite the wharf which was very convenient, and within walking distance of everything this compact city/town has to offer. The hotel is not luxurious and shows signs of wear and tear, but is suitable for an overnight stay. Breakfast included in... More

The design of the hotel is more spectacular than the rooms, but this hotel is comfortable and well located - close to the main street and close to the harbour. My daughter and I stayed here one night prior to an Antarctic cruise and found it to be fine - the rooms are bland but the beds were reasonably comfortable.... More

As you noticed with many of these reviews, we stayed here the night before our trip to Antarctica and the hotel was chosen by the tour company. It is quite attractive from the outside--almost a Swiss-like appearance with the A-frame roof rising toward the sky and the beautiful snow-capped mountains in the background. Even though our whole group was pre-arranged,... More
