This hotel looks lovely and is beautifully placed in Ushuaia, being right on the main road into the town and opposite the port. BUT, although it has a great cafe and lots of sitting areas, the rooms are shocking. They are tiny, which one can cope with, but it seems that the walls are made of paper. we could hear... More

This hotel overlooks the Beagle channel, at the southremost city of the world. It s an old hotel, with a wonderful restaurant facing the sea. Rooms are nice, recently refurbished. Service is quite ok. Staff friendly. The Manager a charming fellow. I say it is worth it.

We are staying at the hotel right now, in our trip to south Argentina. The hotel is amazingly located, close to the main street, restaurants, travel agencies and stores. Also close to the port where people take the navigation tours and you don't have to climb to reach it (big advantage). The staff is really helpful and friendly and recommended... More

We were staying overnight en route to the Antarctic (which was like going to heaven!). This hotel was very central and seriously tried VERY hard to please many people of many different nationalities! Ushuaia is a town just before you drop off the edge of the world and I think it coped BRILLIANTLY! We had dinner there which, whilst a... More

Convenience of being located adjacent the port entrance is only advantage of this hotel. Appears to date from mid 80’s and showing its age. Interior communal areas and room decor tatty. Original front entrance turned into a jewellery shop. On 4th Floor, water system pressure subject to usage elsewhere resulted in potentially freezing or scalding water on the same setting... More

We stayed in this hotel the night before our cruise. It was included in our package. The room was fairly small and dated with no view. Breakfast was included but it was quite crowded and they did run out of items and took time to replenish. The breakfast was typical Argentinian with bread, jam, cold cuts, fruit coffee, tea and... Stayed here prior to my trip to Antarctica. Nice central location. Rooms were nice and comfy and spacious. Breakfast was good. Meals were ok but not a huge choice for the money. Was having some refurbishment but didn't effect stay. All in all perfect prior to my trip :)

Basic but clean and well run, rooms a bit small but adequate, very busy so probably wouldn't stay for more than a couple of nights, excellent central location in this unusual but friendly interesting place at the 'fin del mundo'.

We were booked into this hotel by our cruise company, and, while it was very conveniently located and our triple room was spacious, the wifi connection was very dodgy and it was overpriced. OK for one night before a cruise but I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay.

On the season, this hotel seems to be fully packed with Antarctica's travellers. We were lucky enough to be no exception, but the hotel itself was far from being exceptional (we didn't choose it). An average room, a less than average breakfast, a decent WiFi, a very central location... and that's it.
