Known as the best hotel in town Las Hayas is a pleasant tranquile hotel with superb views to the Ushuaia bay. The service is good and the rooms are spacious. To eat in the restaurant might be a good option concerning the prices and quality of the restaurants downtown. The decoration can be considered outdated. It is clean and cozy.

We stayed before & after a cruise. Brilliant views over city & channel. Being summer, it wasn't bustling with people, but it felt relaxed. Food good, service was fine, rooms large. We enjoyed the 4km walk downtown, and also did walk up to the glacier (about 3km). Once we caught taxi back and it was only about $5.

The hotel is located up the hill, 4 km from the harbor and the city center, in a very nice green and quiet environment with marvellous views (in the rooms to the front). The price is too high (?) . The service is excellent. The restaurant is just reasonable. If you are interested in local history visit the small and... More

This may have been a 5-star hotel in its prime but not any longer. The hotel needs to be updated. It reminds me of a typical tourist hotel where they bus them in for the night and not a place for an extended stay. The room we had was very spacious & clean but everything seemed to be outdated. On... More

Our Stay at Las Hayas was great all expect the receptionist at las Hayas hotel (Natalia), and some problems with the electricity and wifi for more than a few hours. Up to checkout everything was great but Natalia was one of the rudest people I have meet in my two weeks in Argentina and Chile. No patience, or respect for... More

I stayed in this hotel with my sister from january, 1st till january 4th, 2015. We had booked another hotel, Los Acebos, which was closed and the administration didn´t bother to inform us. Los Acebos and Las Hayas belong to the same group. The room we had booked in Los Acebos had a full view to Ushuaya Bay, 2 twin... More

We didn't choose to stay at Las Hayas, our reservations were for the same company hotel Los Acebos, who was closed so we were send to Las Hayas. After this happened I read other reviews and this happened with other travelers as well, without notice, email or phone call from the company. I want to be clear about one thing:... More

I stayed in this hotel unexpectedly. I had completed a fantastic 12 day cruise to Antarctica and was looking forward to enjoying some blissful slow paced days in Los Acebos hotel after my cruise. The cruise company provided us transportation to the hotel so I was terribly shocked when I was informed that they could not drop me off at... More

Stayed here as part of a group. Arrived late morning so no rooms ready for some time. Paid 50 Pesos for a taxi to town, and next day we walked - about 30 mins taking our time. Uphill would be much longer! Room had a lovely view, but no fridge and the safe didn't work. 80s decoration. Clean, and beds... More
