This may have been a 5-star hotel in its prime but not any longer. The hotel needs to be updated. It reminds me of a typical tourist hotel where they bus them in for the night and not a place for an extended stay. The room we had was very spacious & clean but everything seemed to be outdated. On... More

I work in the hospitality business as Managing Director for Real Hotels and Resorts. We own and operate 24 hotels with brands such as JW Marriott and InterContinental in 10 countries. I travel weekly and visited this hotel on vacation with friends. We had an average experience. My brother's room did not have water or electricity for 4 hours. The... More

Our Stay at Las Hayas was great all expect the receptionist at las Hayas hotel (Natalia), and some problems with the electricity and wifi for more than a few hours. Up to checkout everything was great but Natalia was one of the rudest people I have meet in my two weeks in Argentina and Chile. No patience, or respect for... More

I stayed in this hotel with my sister from january, 1st till january 4th, 2015. We had booked another hotel, Los Acebos, which was closed and the administration didn´t bother to inform us. Los Acebos and Las Hayas belong to the same group. The room we had booked in Los Acebos had a full view to Ushuaya Bay, 2 twin... More

We didn't choose to stay at Las Hayas, our reservations were for the same company hotel Los Acebos, who was closed so we were send to Las Hayas. After this happened I read other reviews and this happened with other travelers as well, without notice, email or phone call from the company. I want to be clear about one thing:... More

I stayed in this hotel unexpectedly. I had completed a fantastic 12 day cruise to Antarctica and was looking forward to enjoying some blissful slow paced days in Los Acebos hotel after my cruise. The cruise company provided us transportation to the hotel so I was terribly shocked when I was informed that they could not drop me off at... More

Stayed here as part of a group. Arrived late morning so no rooms ready for some time. Paid 50 Pesos for a taxi to town, and next day we walked - about 30 mins taking our time. Uphill would be much longer! Room had a lovely view, but no fridge and the safe didn't work. 80s decoration. Clean, and beds... More

This hotel looks like it might have been a five star hotel at one point, but not anymore. It needs some restoration and redecoration. Rooms are clean and spacious, as well as bathrooms, very clean towels and bedding, bed was very comfortable. Safety box the room was old and it did not work. Hair dryer was really old, it would... We had two nights here on our tour - just we two. It is out of town on a hill and a 50peso taxi ride into town. We arrived 3 hours before check in but they only let us into the room a half hour early. Pity. It is a well appointed traditionally styled hotel with professional and friendly service.... More

This hotel is set high on the mountain side overlooking Ushuaia & looks impressive as you approach it. However the interior needs updating and renovating, it has that tired feel that some places have after years of use. It is rated as a 5* hotel! at best I would put it as reasonably good 3*. The most outstanding parts of... More
