Great views , shuttle to town reasonable food & service good. Bit like a faded ski lodge but still comfortable. Heating a bit close but with outside temp probably unavoidable. Nice walking around and great views as on the side of a hill. Magnificent sunsets!!

At first, we were upset that we had to transfer to this hotel before our Antarctica excursion. However, it was a totally, pleasant surprise. Compared to where we stayed previously, our room was spacious, and it was a nice change of pace to be in a neighborhood. We had read other reviews and were prepared for the worst, but, again... The room was a sauna, sweat dripping off. Opened the two tiny side windows and the door to the room, closed the curtains(to keep the sun out). It didn't cool down until 0400 am. No fans to use. They said there was transportion, but it was not available this day. Had to walk a mile down the road to catch... More

This hotel is quite a way out of town, and is definitely very tired... The hotel overlooks the Beagle Channel, and across the water to Chile, and the views are wonderful. The room was a nice big room, with a king size and a single bed. The mattress was also old and tired, but was okay. The shower is in... More

The hotel was a bit run-down, but fabulous views from the room and the restaurant. It is outside of town. We needed to use taxis to get to and from the restaurants and shopping area. The hotel did have a shuttle, but the last pick-up in town was 7:30 and the nicer restaurants did not open until 8 pm...a bit... More

We stayed here for two nights before our Antarctic expedition left Ushuaia. The hotel is set up on a hill with beautiful views from all directions. It's also quite a quiet hotel, even when it's completely full as it was for us. The rooms were quite large, but were not what would be considered "modern." The beds were quite old... More

Me nd my husband stayed at Los Nires in Ushuaia one night 2008 in December. They had nice and comfortable rooms with a touch of rustiqueness. The restaurant served good food and had a fairly nice winelist as well. I can recomend this hotell. One thing that can be a drawback is that it is situated a bit from the... More

Stayed here for one night and found the staff very helpful and loved the wooden fittings and design. Everything was clean and cosy and price was good. Nice views too, though it is a little out of town (though they do offer a free shuttle bus to and from the town!! :) ) Breakfast very good as well.

After visiting Tierra del Fuego for the day, our tour group stopped here for a BBQ lunch. Beautiful views, nice restaurant. Great service. Self-serve salad bar, then the feast of meat begins. Grilled right outside, you can sample lamb, sausage or beef. Plentiful servings brought to the table on a "mini-grill." Quickly replenished when empty. My only complaint would be... More

We stayed in Ushuaia for a couple nights - and could open our windows to see the mountains in the background and the new(er) neighborhood being developed down in the foothills. The rooms were neat and the floors heated - plenty of room and nice sized bathrooms. My only complaint would be the noise levels. The walls are fairly then,... More
