We stayed here for one night prior to an Antarctic cruise out of Ushuaia. Halfway up the hill overlooking the town and Beagle Channel, the outlook was magnificent. We had a huge two room corner suite which was very comfortable. We had a light dinner in the restaurant after a late arrival which was very nice, as was breakfast the... More

The rooms of this hotel are very big! Maybe too big! :) but they have nice bed, are clean and gives a cozy feeling. The guy from the reception was super nice in helping with advices and any other things we needed. What I disliked was the service at breakfast.. I came to eat at 8 and though breakfast finishes... This is an outstanding hotel. Everything about it is wonderful. The rooms are lovely The dining room and lounge are so beautiful with such a magnificent view. The food is great, breakfast, lunch or dinner (although there is no true lunch menu but we ordered starters instead for lunch). ANd the people who work there could not be more helpful... More

Altos Hotel sits on the side of the mountain overlooking the town and the bay. $5 taxi ride took us downtown. Lovely view of the city. Feels like a ski lodge in many ways. Lovely wood interior and lots of light. On sight restaurant. Wonderful crab 'starter'! Clean, comfortable, friendly hotel.

This hotel has the best view, guaranteed! you get a friendly welcome when you arrive at the hotel. Lovely spacious room with place for your suitcase. Lovely big and comfortable beds. If you look for nice views that's your hotel. The Beagle channel is all in front of you. Besides this, the hotel is quite new and the rooms very nice and very clean. The problem is that you are not in the city center and you need taxi to go there. Breakfast is really poor too.

Definitely, the view is the star of this hotel, the sunrises are breathtaking, and the rest of the day the overall view of the bay, the surrounding mountains, the Beagle Channel and Ushuaia are beautiful enough to justify the stay there. The hotel is well built, with small but comfortable rooms, good hot water and good beds. The drawbacks are... More

I arrived in the evening and was blown away when I walked through the door and saw the twinkling lights of Ushuaia. The room itself was very comfortable, with a few closets/shelves to unpack your stuff. The bathroom was quite spacious. The staff was always polite and helpful. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but I didn't... More

Stayed 3 nights. View was wonderful. A very clean and comfortable room but a little away from the Main Street. Breakfast good from Argentinian standard. Good shower power. Room nice and warm. Good to go for a walk to nearby hiking tracks.
