I've Couchsurfed and visited a few hostels in Ushuaia. This one is INCREDIBLE! Such a good vibe! Gisele and Alejandro, who run the place, are incredible! Always smiling, welcoming, always willing to share and help. I've been here for a month now. The place is well located in the center of the center. There's someone to attend you 24hrs. Muchileros,... New owners Alejandro and Gisel (had it about 4 weeks at time of writing!) are lovely, very accommodating, and working hard to make a good hostel great. They're former backpackers themselves so understand what people are looking for. They've travelled a lot and speak excellent English. There's a good atmosphere and lots of space, though it would benefit from some... More

I stayed here one night, my birthday, with a couple of other friends. Around midnight, I sat down in a common area to charge my phone. I was completely silent. One of the employees approached me rather aggressively, and asked me in Spanish what I was doing. I said I was just charging my phone, and he told me in... More

The only person, who is not a complete mindless retard is a french guy. The rest are useless. They could not manage to keep a reservation for the next night after having it discussed 3 times. Rooms are noisy due to the iron steps. Kitchen is dirty. Book ahead (somewhere else)

This hostel is centrally located within 5-10 minutes walk from bus stop to National Park, big supermarket Anonima and main drag with shops and restaurants. Stuff is helpful and friendly. Dorms are clean and spacious enough. There is a heating in the dorm and warm blankets for cold nights. I’ve stayed in the dorm #9. I found it very good... More

I stayed 2 nights at the hostel then asket the guy that worked there (blonde, blue eyes) if I could leave my backpack for 2 nights going to the national park tierra del fuego. He assured me nobody would have entered the room where the backpack was. Well I came back and put myself in the bus to Puerto Natales.... More

We stayed for 5 nights in oct 2011, slapped in a common room with 6 beds but since the hostel was half empty they allowed us to stay in the room alone and promised to not join us with other people- they basically spread the people among all room ( other places would not do that)
