Hostel Yakush was a great place and located pretty close to the city's main street. Basic breakfast was provided in the morning. The counter staff were pretty friendly and even offered us our first cup of mate tea. The private room was basic with no attached toilet so was not something I liked when paying for a private room as... More

First the positive points: Good location, friendly staff, nice lounge (which we did not use). Downsides: We had a double room with private bath which was of course more expensive than the dorm rooms. The bathroom was dirty (without searching for it we encountered dirt and toilet paper parts from our predecessors on the floor. There was a hole in... More

This Hostel has a good location for all kind of tours you are planning. The stuff is friendly and helpful. The cozy lounge upstairs is nice to rest and to chat. The "baños" could be better( modern) and cleaner. The beds are comfortable and freshly covered. During the Weekend room no.:3 is loud due to the passing traffic on the... More

For the price you pay you could expect something better. The bathrooms are about a mile away from the rooms, kitchen needs some refurbishment. However staff is very friendly and helpful (except for one person), it's very well located and with excellent breakfast.

Stayed here for two nights. Good location on the main street. Ushuaia is all hills so if you are staying off the main street there is a lot of climbing. We stayed in a double private room with private bathroom. Found the price REALLY expensive. But Ushuaia is expensive and it seemed to be the middle of ski season. The... More

Everything is expensive in Ushuaia, even though it is a tax-free zone, but even so I feel that ARG$100 is a bit of a ripoff for a hostel. That said, Yakush staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms were warm and clean, the bathrooms were fine and the location is fantastic. Great lounge area, book exchange. The breakfast is... More

THE POSITIVES: Good location, helpful reception (always a readily available smile), reasonable sized kitchen. THE NEGATIVES: Not overly clean, in particular the floors. Bedrooms built around a noisy reception area, couple that with the echo in the high ceilings and you may as well be sleeping in a cave. Only 3/4 bathroom doors lock and 1/3 showers work properly and... More

This hostel has owners that realy care of their clients. When the cleaning lady is sick, they don't let the receptionist do the cleaning job, the owners DO IT THEIRSELVES. In this way they know by themselves how clean their hostel is. And cleanlyness is much important in hostels. The rooms are good and have enough space and all have... More

I had a good time in january this year in Ushuaia at Yakush. Clean rooms with clean shared bathrooms. The Hostel is in the center of Ushuaia very close to everything. The kitchen is large with space to cook and the view on the center is not too bad also. A good place to stay, ask for Eric, he is... More

Cool location, great kitchen and lounge area, clean. But very expensive. For a couple of nights it is still okay.
