I spent two nights before I sailed to Antarctica and three nights after I returned. I have traveled extensively and stayed in hotels throughout the world. I read the reviews before I booked this hotel and was somewhat concerned because the reviews seemed very inconsistent. However, after staying at the hotel, I decided to take the time to write a... Hotel is situated in the *outskirts* of Ushuaia, and by outskirts its not really far from anything. But you do have to go downhill og take the very uncomfy stairs in the centennial park just across the hotel- somehow this park has turned into a playground for vandalism. Its a European style building and you get a home-feeling when entering,... More

The hotel has many rooms. Some of them small, but the others may have two rooms inside with ocean view. The lobby is decorated by paintings and old things. Wi-Fi works perfectly. The receptionist changes US Dollars to pesos. The rate is very nice (8,5). The breakfast is poor - it is the only negative.

This hotel was not the best we got in Argentina, of course it was not the most expensive, but also not the cheapest. It is located not far from the center, but not very close, there's some hike up to get there from the main street and a good 15 mins to get to the port and bus station. We... More

We didn't mind the location (within the center but up the hill and a bit of a hike to the bus station or bus terminal) and the room was clean with nice sheets, but we were disappointed on several levels.....elevator worked only periodically (we were on the 3rd floor), the restaurant for dinner was disappointing in terms of the food... We stayed here for one night, in the huge 'attic room' which has an amazing view over the city through a huge window, a separate living and bedroom and a bar. The hospitality was very nice and the room was in good condition. Breakfast was the only negative item, with limited choice and quality. Located at the edge of the... More

I have just got back from a business trip in Ushuaia in which I stayed at the Hosteria America for 13 night. Service was fantastic, the hosts were very friendly and helpful always ready to call me a taxi in the morning or help out with anything else I needed. The room as great which is what this review is... More

Our room was extremely small and pokey and the minimal storage space was virtually inaccessible. The bathroom was small but adequate. Outside the window were the tops of ventilation chimneys churning out recycled hot air. We arrived in the evening to be told that the restaurant wasn’t open as it was a holiday. We were directed to a restaurant in... More

We appreciate your review for tripadvisor, we regret that your stay was not pleasant, your room is 3 x 4 meters in area, and has two closets (one for ladies and one for gentlemen) with two drawers each, also has 2 spaces of 1 cubic meter to place all the equipment you want, which enters enough for a stay of... I had to take this as all other were full. Got the worst possible room, next to the reception, where I could here everything happening late at night and early in the morning. I also could hear the couple in the next room very well.... Extremely overpriced at 120 dollar. Staff friendly and helpful though

The accommodation was excellent for us. We called a day before and the reception guy spoke English, what is not usual in Argentina. The staff helped us also with information about excursions. It was a really pleasant stay in a nice room with a great view. And this after a terrible stay in a Puerto Madryn hostel. We can really... More
