Patagonien jarget is not really a hotel but a hostel with very small room and outdated bathrooms some of which is on the second floor and without a bell boy that became a problem for us. The only place there is wifi is close to the reception where The staff play radio all day and nigth long non of who... More

This place has clean rooms, friendly staff, and beautiful views of the channel. The included breakfast is typical of what you'd find in Argentina, but coffee is actually good. The best part is the shower. It is clean and the water pressure is intense. The best shower I've had in Argentina so far. The common area has glass walls and... More

We had a king size bed on the 3rd floor of this establishment so did not have any issues with noise from the lobby area. The room size was comfortable with our two pieces of luggage. The duvet was fluffy and warm. The towels were new and thick (not paper thin). The electrical outlets in our room were all two... More

If not for Ushuaia's claim to be the 'southernmost city in the world' I imagine it'd be little more than a working harbor town. However, given this claim to fame, as well as its access to Antarctica, it feels quite large. The city is built on a hill, with the water as its anchor at the bottom. The Patagonia Jarke... More

Sadly what lets this little hosteria down is its accommodation. Our room (no. 10) was pokey - an understatement. One could not move around the room freely without bashing into bits of furniture. The shower in the bathroom spurted water up on to the ceiling, which in turn dripped down on to the floor. The bath was tiny. The tea... More

A pleasant enough hosteria, chosen on this trip for it's upslope setting that affords from most rooms excellent views over the town, the Beagle Channel and the snow-capped scrag end of the Andean Cordillera to the south (actually in Chile) before it dips into the Southern Ocean. The Jarke would have earned nearly full marks if it weren't for two... More

I recently spent five nights with a friend at the Patagonia Jarke on my third trip to Ushuaia. It is well located up a hill from the main street through town and has a great view of the Beagle channel. The cost is at the lower end of hotel options in Ushuaia and offers good value for a budget traveler.... More

We stayed at this hosteria for 2 nights before we sett of to Antarctica. The staff was very helpfull in providing tips to eat and go to. We only had one full day to spent, so we went for a trip to Tierra del Fuego. We asked the reception whether they could arrange for transportation to the park which was... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in a twin room. The hosteria appears to be a conversion of 2 houses with an adjoining glass section, which houses the reception and breakfast areas. The hosteria is thoughtfully decorated and equipped with games, plenty of seating areas, and a communal computer. The room was spotlessly clean, very warm (we kept having to... More

An older building which has been modernised. Plenty of character with wood and lots of glass in the common areas which unfortunately makes it very hot and noisy. Lady owner does not speak english at all but other man in reception was able to be quite helpful. Room was very small but cute and comfortable. Tea making facilities in room:... More
