The hotel was located about a 10 minute walk from the centre of town, but was in a quiet location, the staff were excellent throughout and the breakfasts superb.also the hotel had one of the best views across Lake Argentina. Definitely recommend this hotel!

We expected a lot based on the reviews. It was nice, the room we were given was huge. The room decor was a little dated. The carpet and paint could use an update. It looks a little southwestern in style. Breakfast included, heavy on pastry and cake. The public areas were pretty and there was a good happy hour. The... More

I booked this hotel on hotels.com sort of last minute before embarking on the journey half way around the world to El Calafate, Argentina to see Perito Moreno. The room was clean and homey. Nice view of the lake. Staff was nice and helped us arrange a half day tour with driver after we arrived around 10am from Buenos Aires.... More

The hotel was a little hard to find as it's not in a "tourist" neighborhood and the sign isn't very prominent. The rooms were clean and pleasant, the breakfast buffet was very generous - who eats all those cakes and tortes for breakfast? And the staff helpful. We enjoyed a beer in the lounge one evening and had the hotel... More

+ Room was a decent size and beds were comfortable although didn't really have duvets on them, blankets and a cover but plenty warm enough. + Good sized safe, easy to use. + Friendly staff, although a bit scare at times. - Quite a trudge from town, about 15 minutes which is fine but it is quite steep coming back... We were surprised this hotel received such a high rating from Trip Advisor- by US standards it would not be considered a boutique hotel. It was a funny mix of tired and funky, with some nice updated features and some features that made it feel like a 1970's ski lodge. It's far up a hill from the main part of... More

The hotel itself is fine for El Calafate, where most people just need a clean comfortable place to stay while day-tripping out to the glaciers for a couple nights. The rooms are fine, probably 3.5 star by Western chain standards. No outstanding amenities, and the beds do have those horrid polyester covers but it’s fine if you’re not looking for... More

Our room was very tired - the bed was uncomfortable and old. On our second day there, for an unknown reason, the entire hotel lost water - very inconvenient. The staff was very helpful, and the food was delicious. We also happened to be there at the same time as a week-long anniversary celebration. There were live bands playing music... More

We got a room in the lower part of the hotel with a view for the lake. The room was cozy, clean and not small. Bed was comfortable and the heater worked pretty well. There was a tube in the bathroom and shower was good enough. Staff is friendly and willing to help. The hotel is quite close to the... More

We stayed 2 nights and were primarily in El Calafate to visit Perito Moreno (as I suppose most people are). We arrived by bus and had no map (or money) but managed to find the hotel quite easily thanks to a few locals - it was about a 5 minute walk from the bus station - uphill. They have a... More
