Before criticising the hotel itself, I'd like to recognise the staff (especially front desk) for their great service and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. No problems in these departments! Location is also good. Despite it's tag line as a boutique hotel, this is definitely not what it is. It's a reasons able 2 to 3 star basic hotel. Rooms... More

Stayed here for 1 night, February 2015 pros: -Very friendly and helpful staff (Pablo at the reception is an extremely helpful host with good English) -Clean comfortable rooms -Good breakfast cons: -A little too pricey (but so are other places at "El Calafate" so it is still a very good choice) -Location is not great (10 minutes walk to town... The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I left my sunglasses behind and they found them for me. Nice central location. Highly recommended. The bathrooms have underfloor heating but if you shut the door it stops the room getting too hot. Lovely big beds.

We are currently at Patagonia Queen and so far, I am thoroughly impressed with every single aspect. The price was right. The location is perfect, right in the centre of town. We were greeted by Raffael, who speaks excellent English and Italian. He gave us comprehensive information about the area, the tours, even the weather forecast for the next few... More

We stayed here just one night, after flying from the UK, changing Airports in BA and then taking on the 31/2 hour flight to El Calafate, a total of over 24hours of travel. The Patagonia Queen was very welcome after that trip! The Hotel is well situated, just off El Calafate's main street. There is plenty to see in the... More

Good location, close to lots of restaurants and cafes. Just off the main road, nice and quiet for a good nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with good recommendations for dinner. Wifi was not very good in the rooms but better in the lobby. We only stayed for one night as it was quite expensive, so we... More

I've just spent 2 nights at Patagonia Queen. It is a fine 'mid market' hotel but quite expensive ($150) for what you get. It is well located at the end of the Main Street in El Calafate and well located for restaurants and shops (for the best restaurants avoid the main drag). The rooms are large and very quiet. However,... More

Will not add much to what has already been said other than to say the fantastic reviews are spot on! The Patagonia Queen has everything going for it in the location, breakfast, rooms, and price. I think the one thing that sets the Patagonia Queen apart from the competition is Pablo and Rafel. I had a rental car issue and... More

The Patagonia Queen hotel is very centrally located in El Calafate. Well within walking distance for good restaturants and bars in the town (try out El Libro Bar - Borges!). Very service-minded staff at the hotel and clean and nice rooms. Quite good breakfast, and private parking facilities outside the hotel. Un-even wi-fi quality, particularly in the rooms, but usually... More

The hotel is located in the town at the end of the main street so it's easy to get out and about. The room was a good size, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A decent sized bathroom, too. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice - cereal, fruit, yoghourt, pastries, juice, tea, coffee, breads, cold meat, cheese, eggs cooked to... More
