The Patagonia Queen is lovely hotel located near the end of the main street of the town. We learned that the owner of the hotel was a furniture maker and that was the reason that the hotel interior had all the woodwork and beautiful furniture throughout the place. The rooms are nice and quite and the beds are comfortable. It... More

Great family run hotel. Wonderful staff. Excellent location. Around the corner from two very good, and very different from each other, restaurants. Let us store a suit case a week before we checked in while we hiked in Chile, and the suitcase was waiting in the room on our arrival!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon and I remain floored with Patagonia Queen. Rafael was the nicest person and the most hospitable person we've ever encountered. The service was top notch - he greeted us, he made us a drink (Pisco Sour of which we will never forget while also being the tastiest one... More

We had a great stay at the Patagonia Queen hotel. It is small and very welcoming with an extremely helpful front desk staff. Rooms were clean, nothing fancy but nice - nice shower with hot water. Internet could be spotty, but we found this all over Patagonia. If you go on many tours, the location is great because it is... More

Positives: The tightest made beds ever (the staff could teach the military some tricks), clean and comfortable rooms, jacuzzi tubs, friendly and helpful staff, convenient location. Negatives: The rooms were so hot at night that we had to open a window to cool our room enough to sleep. It seems a pity to waste the energy. Due to a mix-up... More

My wife and I stayed at Patagonia Queen last week. We had a great time in Calafate and Patagonia Queen was charming. The staff was extremely friendly and made our stay very comfortable. Rafael greeted us and was very helpful throughout our stay. The proximity to the main drag and restaurants is great. Only downside was that the wi-fi wasn't... More

My husband and I stayed at Patagonia Queen 6 months ago. We arrived on my birthday and were treated by Rafael, the manager, to a complimentary cocktail. Our stay was wonderful --staff did everything to help us enjoy our visit. My husband had lost his fleece jacket on our way to El Calafate. Given that we were headed for parts... More

We booked through Imagine Latin America, who we would highly recommend for anyone looking to book a trip in Latin America, and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel. The design of the hotel is beautiful, with a very rustic feel. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the hotel offered a great breakfast. The hotel is very... More

Calafate has a huge number of places to stay. The Patagonia Queen is located close to the main area, about six blocks or so from the bus terminal. The hotel itself was beautiful. The design unique, pool table, ping pong, gym, and wonderful sitting areas. And the staff were so friendly. Hotel is situated just off the main road so... More

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel last September . Hotel helped arrange transport to/from hotel which made arrival easy. Close enough to walk easily into town, but not on the busier Main Street. Comfortable room with great view (including daily sunrise over the lake from the breakfast room). Rafael Lim was VERY helpful in sorting out a... More
