Not a lot of English spoken here, but hey your in South America, right? The young guys at the front desk did their best to communicate which is more than I can say for the owner/manager? Our room was on the lower floor which was partly underground, so our window was just a bit above ground level, sort of prison... More

You cannot miss this hotel, it is pink and on a hill, when we arrived in Calafate we could see it from far. It is not in the centre of town, 20 minutes to get to town but back you have to go up hill! Better take a taxi...Wifi is only in the lobby, rooms are spacious and OK. Breakfast... More

Sweet mother of God, you would do better staying anywhere but here. First, this place is a 25 minute walk out of town. If you've got a car, great. If not, plan on hiking uphill for 25 minutes after dinner because there's really no other way to get there. The walls are incredibly thin. When your neighbor decides to call... More

All is very good, is very recomendable, is quite far from center, not more than 15 mins walking. Is very confortable, and nice staff. The bread has different colors, which is funny, but kinda freaky too. Has a exceptional see, of the river and sunset..

We had a wonderful time, the location and setting of the hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. We did not use the spa or sauna however the couches and games in the main dining area were very homly & added a to the feeling of welcome of the hotel. The views of the city, El Calafate from... I have mixed feelings about Shehuen Hotel. The bad part: It is far from the city center (about 2 km from where all the restaurants and shops are) and UPHILLS, and the streets are not all paved and there are no sidewalks. If you are afraid of dogs (not my case), do not walk around the hotel, since lots of... More

Shehuen it's a very nice hotel. It's situated a bit out of the centre, but just 10 minutes walking. And the view from there is amazing! You can enjoy it from most of the room and during the breakfast. It's really wanderful and unforgetable. The service is very good and the reception guys had been very kind and available. There's... We were booked into this hotel through a tour company. We were very surprised and disappointed with how far this hotel was to town. As well, we found that the WIFI which was only available in the common area to be quite slow and inconvenient. However, the room was clean and good size but it did not take long for... More

We arrived here for a one night stay and were perplexed with the distance from the centre of the town, and the 'dodgy' surroundings with dirt gravel road. Our room is situated by the laundry and therefore took one hour to air out, as the soapy smell in the air had us both coughing. The lobby is nice, and the... More

I must admit that our first impression of the hotel was "Oh no!". But as soon as we entered, we were greeted by one of their managers who was helpful, friendly and so keen to give us our welcoming drink (homemade red wine served cold, surprisingly nice!). In addition, he carried our heavy bags to our room and decline a... More
