The hotel itself is beautiful and its surrounding are even more stunning, and this should be expected from the price it charges. The two rooms I stayed were both excellent. The restaurant was very nice, too, with excellent food for both breakfast and dinner. However, this hotel is located quite far from the city center, and it's quite a walk... More

This is a small hotel on the outskirts of El Calafate. The staff is very nice and tries to be helpful. However every request apparently goes to their central office in buenos aires. The Internet is basically not existing even in their business center. The only place with a stable signal is in the business center itself and veeeeeerrrrrryyyyy sssssslllllooooowwwwwww.... More

Very good hotel. Hotel staff gives you good attention in everything you need. Hotel is a bit far from downtown, but hotel have a very convenient and free transfer server to cover that distance. They have a bar and a restaurant inside the hotel, very convenient. All hotel areas are very well cleaned. They have to fix the Internet service,... More

The Rochester is located out if town although it is peaceful and they do have a regular bus route to town it wasnt a problem. This hotel is very formal. We haven't found it warm and welcoming at all. The rooms are far too warm and we had to call staff in to turn the heating down. Our children (ages... More

I booked a room there online, showed up there on the right day and they did not have my booking. I could not speak Spanish very well and the receptionist could not speak any English. She was rude. A passerby translated for us and said that the hotel had booked the wrong dates so that the day I arrived was... More

We got a cheap rate here and were really happy with our experience. The reception area and restaurant are very tastefully decorated, the room was a little basic but clean and had everything we needed. The hotel is not in the center, but has a reliable half-hourly shuttle service to town from the late afternoon. It is not that far,... More

We stayed 3 nights. Strange that we had to pay our stay upon arrival (with a final balance for extras) but the price is convenient. The hotel is very nice and the view of the lake is great. The heating was a bit too high and there was no way to reduce it. The personnel was very nice but somebody... More

The hotel was great, clean with a good view to Lago Argentino. Pamela was very helpfull especially because she speaks English :) It's quite far from the central of the city, but they have the free hotel transfer. Pay attention on the timeline of the car. The problem was they accidently made me pay double for the hotel room and... More

We stayed 3 nights in February of 2014 in a triple room. The hotel is away from downtown, but they run a shuttle during the evening that was very convenient. We hopped it a couple times to visit restaurants and shop to avoid the drive. The lobby of the hotel is really nice with a bar area and adjacent restaurant/breakfast... More

Very nice hotel by the Argentino Lake, it is far from downtown El Calafate so it is very quiet at night, during the day it has a very nice view from almost all common areas. Rooms are not very well sound proofed and this can be a problem in the morning when other guests are getting ready to go out... More
