I stayed here with my family on our trip to el Calafate. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the warm, friendly smiling Marcia who ensured that we were comfortable, and helped organise and book dinners for us every evening. Lily who prepared breakfast was super lovely and even baked yummy goodies at breakfast! The rooms are very... More

We had a 2 night stay [ but should have stayed longer], in April as part of a Chimu Adventures tour. It was an excellent hotel and one of our favourites on our tour. It was a very friendly "family feel" type hotel and we were made very welcome. It is located a little way out of the town centre... More

We stayed three nights in this hotel on Lago Argentina. Room 12 is upstairs and has a lovely sitting area overlooking the lake. Good breakfast buffet. Staff friendly. It is on the outskirts of town. We were able to walk it but it was about one hour at a good pace. Taxi to town would make sense. Great, really great... More

We stayed at Los Hielos for 3 nights, and had a great time there. The rooms are just excellent under any aspect, we were really impressed. The view from the room is also amazing. The location is certainly not central, a few kms away from the center of El Calafate, but you can easily reach the center by taxi (about... More

The hotel is 3 km out of town and the hotel offers only a shuttle at 7 pm to town and return at 10 pm. The rooms are quite comfortable and clean and it does have a nice view. Most of the staff were helpful but it's the little things that make a difference and that didn't happen. Next time... More

A little out of the way, not bad if you have a vehicle. Parking is somewhat of a challenge. Nice room (bed rather firm), good view, good bathroom. Pretty quiet at night. Decent breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Spent 2 nights at this hosteria recently. The place is bright and clean and the location is lovely and very quiet, although a fair distance from town. Travelled into town several times by taxi, which cost approx. USD 6.00 each way. Breakfast was satisfactory and the one dinner we had at the hosteria was delicious, if not cheap. Staff were... More

We booked the suite at this hotel with booking.com a few weeks before our trip (weekend of May 23-25). We get there, and they tell us they do not have the room we reserved available. Instead, they show us a tiny basic room. NOT what we had in mind or had reserved. The reception staff was helpful in recommending other... More

We found the hotel to be lovely, nice rooms, nice view. Unfortunately, it is more than 1.5 miles from downtown, and the hotel only offers a shuttle into town at 7 PM (returning at 10 PM). Yes, it's walkable, but those extremely strong Patagonian winds mean that at least one way you are battling a powerful headwind. Breakfast was very... More

Far from the city, yes, but we were driving, returning from Perito Moreno, for the location was very good. We had the room on the far right, great views from the lake and garden. Very nice room, spacious, stunning view, comfortable, new, 5-stars linen and toilet. I found the price a bit high. I would say it's a hosteria high-end.... More
