First of all the positives: We had a very nice room: large and clean. It was at the far end of the corridor upstairs and had a window on both sides of the room. I suspect it is the biggest room in the hotel, but I didn't see any others. The bathroom, though, was tiny and the shower drained very... More

For the record, we made the most of our time here and had a great stay in El Calafate. Patagonia Rebelde was built to look like a traditional estancia, and it has charm and is certainly an adequate place to stay. The staff is friendly & helpful, it's a short walk to "downtown," and the rooms are small but they... More

When we arrived at this hotel we did our best to see the good in it. All of our trip Say Hueque has provided us with awesome hotels and fantastic activities. Sadly this one is not awesome. I will provide you with our few positives and many negatives of this hotel. First the positives. - Staff is friendly and puts... More

How small: figure out 1 meter (3 feet) on 3 sides of a queen size bed to move around, with a very small and rudimentary bathroom. Totally unacceptable except for young backpackers on a strict budget. To go to town, which is 15 minutes away, you have to walk on a muddy dirt road for 250 yards to then get... More

We arranged a two night stay in El Calafate so that we could visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. This was organised through a Scottish company, Andean Trails. Patagonia Rebelde is a lovely place to stay and is full of quirky memorabilia. The included breakfast was delicious. They also offer restaurant service most nights and the food was very nice and... very nice decoration, countryside vibe. excelent staff. excelent restaurant for 1 dinner. nice breakfast. good location, walking distance from downtown. overall very nice. the only thing is that the building is old. despite very well maintained, sound isolation is very poor and room size is small.

a bit of a walk to the town where the restaurants etc. are located. We were well received. A very old fashioned look and feel. The room is tiny, the bathroom is even smaller which looks terrible with exposed pipes and cramped toilet, you have to let them know and hour in advance if you want to adjust the temperature... A relatively small hotel, more fittingly a lodge... But very friendly, and very amenable.. They serve dinner, which is great as we arrived very late on 2 occasions, but don't expect too much in terms go quality... Access is a little weird, road leading to the hotel is not quite paved yet.. It's just outside the main town which is... More

We spent 2 nights in the Pullman Suite which apparently is a much larger room than the others and thoroughly enjoyed the accomodation. The room was very warm to the extent that we requested the heat to be lowered. The bathroom was on the small size but adequate. We found the staff helpful but there was generally a lack of them leading... More

This is a hard hotel to rate- something like a 4-star lobby and 2-star bedrooms, averaging to the hotel's official 3-star rating. The lobby is really interesting, decorated with many early 20th century items. The location is about a 10-minute walk to the touristy downtown; there is a 100 step stairway to get to the lower level. The bedrooms are... More
