The hotel is nice but the location is very far from the town center so you must take their shuttle everywhere. Rooms are on the small size and have no AC. Spa is nice if you have time to use it. Restaurant is good and staff is friendly. Breakfast is included and has standard fare.

I recently stayed for two nights (Dec 28 & 29, 2015) and can't speak highly enough about the attention I received from the front desk staff. I planned my trip very last minute so I arrived with no excursions booked and had a little crying breakdown when I couldn't find any availability :) The two women at the front desk... More

We stayed at Alto Calafate before and after trekking in Torres del Paine. The hotel stored one of our bags while we were in the park for 4 days, which was extremely convenient. It's a classy hotel with excellent amenities, and we really enjoyed it. Comfortable beds and a great shower. Our second room overlooked the lake, providing wonderful views... More

This hotel is on the outskirts of town but has a free shuttle. The room was pretty basic but we had a view of the lake in the distance. There was a small gym with a pool and spa which was fairly adequate. Breakfast was a buffet but at times things were not replaced quickly. There was a wide choice... More

We were fairly surprised that Alto Calafate is not ranked in the top 10 for El Calafate. We had a wonderful stay here and would greatly recommend it. Rooms are well furnished and cozy with either mountain or lake views. There are modern amenities: TV, safe, hair dryer, minibar. Common areas are clean and beautifully furnished. We had dinner in... The hotel is located at the entrance of the town and you will need to use the free shuttle to get in the centre. But the location is great if you want view & great sleep. The rooms are spacious but a little tired and so is the bathroom. Friendly staff & nice restaurant on site. Recommended.

We arrived at the hotel really tired after a long complicated trip. Upon arrival our luggages got taken care of and the receptionist facilitated a fast check in so we could go and recover from our journey. The rooms are clean Because of the position there's a view wherever you look. The only little thing is that the traditional design... More

Excellent hotel, clean and friendly staff. Great view of the landscape. They have a wonderful restaurant, bit pricey but excellent food. They also have a very convenient shuttle service that takes you to the center of El Calafate each hour.

We stayed here for three nights. The hotel is some way away from the tourist bustle of El Calafate but they provide an excellent shuttle bus into the town every hour. The hotel has stunning views over the lake. We ate in the hotel on one evening and had a very good meal. However the restaurant was a little quiet
