Excellent hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. Prompt airport pickup, arranged two fantastic dinners (one at the hotel). 12 minutes walk to downtown El Calfate, close to reserve, free bikes for guests. Quiet spot, very nice and clean rooms - would return in a heartbeat! Owners really made us feel at home! Free wi-fi, comfortable sitting areas, wine, tea, etc all... More

This has been the perfect location for me in El Calafate. The rooms are clean, more than comfortable with lovely decorative touches. It has felt like staying in a dear friend's home. Nothing has been too much trouble, the staff all charming and the evening meals - delicious and beautifully presented. Wifi has been great and the short walk to... More

If you like to be away from the main touristy area and close to a nature preserve, then you may love this small hotel. We certainly did. We walked to the close-by Laguna Nimez Bird Reserve and really enjoyed the large and carefully planned sanctuary. The entrance fee was 70AR$. We also had a rental car which helped in transportation... More

We do not understand the rave reviews of this hotel: for us it was the only negative experience of our stay in Argentina. We have unfortunately spent 2 nights. We arrived on Christmas Eve on 24. We booked the special Christmas dinner at the hotel, for a fee of 850 pesos per person. Exorbitant sum compared to the dishes presented,... More

For the value we were happy with this hotel. The walk into town is pleasant 10 minute stroll so nice location. Rooms large and clean and safe. Nothing fancy but basic. The garden is soothing. Wifi excellent. Breakfast ok. Service friendly but disappointing - would not recommend to use them for trip planning. Fyi we got a taxi from here... More

Initially I was surprised when the airport bus took me to an area away from the town centre, but it turned out well. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the restaurant, shopping and banks area, but the bonus was being near the lagoon where there is a well kept nature reserve, with hundreds, if not thousands, of... Had a nice stay at this property. The rooms in the next building are much larger than the ones in the main house. But rooms in general are small. The beds are firm and comfortable. Each twin bed is provided with two pillows to allow you to adjust as needed. The twin beds are a bit on the narrow side.... More

We were there for one night, it's good location for walking to to lake, but little bit far walk to the town center. Service is good and hotel is cozy with style. Breakfast is just OK. You can pay Pesos even you book in States by Dollars, Exchange rate is very compatible ( $1 = 12 Pesos)

"Downtown" Calafate (if there is any :-)) is a bit of a walk but the hosteria has a wonderful warm atmosphere. It is very welcoming and the food is nice as it is like eating at home which is a great change if you are on the road a while and eating out a lot! The rooms are nice, warm... More

Nice and efficient reception upon arrival, reasonable wifi, could be a bit stronger in terms of signal, cosy feel, upstairs the restaurant and breakfast room, small but clean room, good beds, decent breakfast. A little bit out of town, but wonderful views on the lake in return. They also do lunch boxes which were quite complete!
