This is a charming looking little guest house no more than a 10 min walk to the central strip in El Calafate. It's cash only, which I didn't notice when booking on booking.com. The main lady doesn't speak very much English at all and, I think as a result of the language barrier, comes across quite severe. There are lots... More

We probably had our most unpleasant stay in Argentina in this hotel so far. To be fair, we've had almost only good to great stays so far. Inferior service compared to the really great Argentinian hospitality we've experienced so far (to top it off: everywhere signs with what you're not to do...). Rooms outdated and grubby and really not that... More

Well appointed rooms and a beautiful lobby with friendly service and great food and wine. It is only a 10 minute walk to the center of town and very convenient. I thought it was a great value hotel for the price.

Very much enjoyed this place. Beautiful views, lovely ambience, good food and wine at a very reasonable price. Perfect for an upgrade after several days of travelling and some fairly downbeat places elsewhere and in Calafate itself. Prices very reasonable for the standard provided. Thoroughly recommended

We stayed in this privately owned Hotel in El Calafate while visiting the various glaciers in the area. A friendly reception by the owners who have a limited amount of English but that is not a problem. The building is built from felled trees and the whole interior is like a picture from a lodge in the Swiss Alps. The... More

We spent there only 2 nights during our trip through Argentina beginning of Jan 2014, but it was very good experience. It is place runs by family and you can see it. We felt there like home and had great rest with the view on lake from main terrace. It is quite difficult to communicate, because staff didn't speak English,... More

The hotel is built of beautiful Lenga wood and is really quite impressive. The caretaker (owner ?) Mirta is a bit rough but has a kind heart. No English... The rooms are small and clean. Wifi reception in the lobby and rooms close to it. Breakfast is very good. The location is good, about 15 min walk to the center.... More

Very tasty meals. The service is slow, but the one waitress is very nice. She speaks no English though. Do not get the house red wine - it was very bad, but they have a little wine store in the restaurant and you can buy a 1/2 bottle of wine, not expensive. Not sure if there were other by the... More

for dinner...........perfect! This is a lovely restaurant...................we did not stay in the hotel. A beautifully designed and furnished restaurant with lovely views to Lagos Argentino. The service was quite slow, but everything appeared to be freshly cooked and we didn't mind waiting since we were enjoying a lovely Mendoza Malbec. Maybe a wee bit expensive but it's all very pleasant.... More

We enjoyed 5 nights at the Hotel which is very close to the center of the village. The rooms are small but nicely furnitured and clean. The whole building made of a lot of local wood (whole tree trunks!) and bricks is beautiful. But the hospitality and service we experienced was top class! The owners took personally care of everything.... More
