The hotel is built of beautiful Lenga wood and is really quite impressive. The caretaker (owner ?) Mirta is a bit rough but has a kind heart. No English... The rooms are small and clean. Wifi reception in the lobby and rooms close to it. Breakfast is very good. The location is good, about 15 min walk to the center.... More

Very tasty meals. The service is slow, but the one waitress is very nice. She speaks no English though. Do not get the house red wine - it was very bad, but they have a little wine store in the restaurant and you can buy a 1/2 bottle of wine, not expensive. Not sure if there were other by the... More

for dinner...........perfect! This is a lovely restaurant...................we did not stay in the hotel. A beautifully designed and furnished restaurant with lovely views to Lagos Argentino. The service was quite slow, but everything appeared to be freshly cooked and we didn't mind waiting since we were enjoying a lovely Mendoza Malbec. Maybe a wee bit expensive but it's all very pleasant.... More

We enjoyed 5 nights at the Hotel which is very close to the center of the village. The rooms are small but nicely furnitured and clean. The whole building made of a lot of local wood (whole tree trunks!) and bricks is beautiful. But the hospitality and service we experienced was top class! The owners took personally care of everything.... More

we fallen in love with owners, the place, rooms, view, viandas, breakfast, and everything is all around this hotel! The structure is completely new and wooden made, resembling a fabolous place, the room has a bow window on the Argentino lake and Andes; all the food is home made by owners (bread, biscuits, muffins, and so on included, made by... The staff were not so great . the hotel is nice but the owners push you back, too much gridy for money...just a simple coffee, costs about 5 or 6 euro..( its a shame where much of the hotel , where we stayed...was really friendly and never chargers us for simple tea or black coffee. To be complete, you need to... More

After having driven a long stretch of dusty gravel roads we were sick of dust when we came to Los Canelos. Unfortunately the house is situated on just another dusty gravel road. Buses were stopping across the road and left motors running while waiting for their passengers - probably to keep the AC running. The dust and noise made it... More

We were booked into this hotel by our tour agency. Here are the pros and cons in a nutshell: The Good: - Comfortable bed - Lovely sitting area and patio (though no umbrellas or cushions on the loungers??) - Short 8-10 min walk from the town, which was great, because you were near enough to enjoy it without being in... Nicely located at the top of the town so we could walk to dinner every night which was nice. The hotel itself is absolutely lovely. Rooms are quaint and nicely done. The staff were not so great as we had a number of tour messages that we did not get. Be careful if it rains as the roofs are corrugated... More

Nice staff, nice wooden place, breakfast is limited but acceptable. It was very warm but the shower was a bit rubbish and the mad dogs that lived outside our window spent the whole time barking. There were 3-4 dogs barking constantly, non-stop when we went to bed. When I woke up during the night they were still barking and in... More
