Just returned from our 16 day holiday in Argentina and this was the only hotel that wasn't A plus. The lobby was weird, everything in the room was shabby or broken. The breakfast had dried up fruit with the rind on it and sugary items....nothing healthy to start the day. We ended up here because La Cantera overbooked reservations that we... More

This rather large hotel is located at the entrance of Calafate 80 km from the national Park of glaciers. Customer service is very decent, personnel is friendly, food at the restaurant and the bar is very good. It's probably the best place to stay in the town.

We stayed for our honeymoon and it was great. Beautiful lobin, breakfast really good and the best part was the swimming pool!! The restaurant isn't very expensive like another people said in other reviews. We been there in January, it was summer and they didn't have any aircon or fan and was pretty warm inside the room. They should have... More

Luxury is the right name - the hotel is of a high standard. Very comfortable bed in large room. Good breakfast. On the downside, the room had no aircon, the pool was closed and it's a good twenty minutes walk into town.

Unless you want to be treated bad, don't stay at this hotel. We arrived on 12/24/15 very early in the morning , about 9 am after an early flight from Buenos Aires. After the person in the front desk directed us to seat in a distant lobby, to do our check in later, we found a restroom and got some... More

We stayed 5 nights and had nothing to complain. Big, comfortable rooms, ( not luxurius). Indoor swimming pool, excellent restaurant ( better and cheaper than many overvalued restaurants in the city ) Nice staff. Downtown is just 10 minutes walking ( in a safe city) not so bad compared with other really remote ( and luxurious ) hotels like Alto... More

The hotel was a Kempinski in its prior life many years ago, but is still good. It is definitely not "uniquely luxurious" though :D Location is somewhat remote to walk to from the main avenue San Martin. No other flaws really.

This hotel had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It took over 30 minutes for them to check us in. They made us email them our reservation (how do they not have this in their system?). Then were unable to provide the room that was promised. After a frustrating experinece of trying to communicate with them (they knew... More

The hotel is about 1,5km from the main street in El Calafate. The route to the town is badly paved (or not at all paved) and not well lid. The hotel has some nice areas with comfortable seats and decorations, but soms areas, like the breakfast and dinner area, are cold and lack charm and a cosy atmosphere. The standard... More

I wanna say something about some comments. I'm Argentinian living in the U.S. And I am in the hospitality business too.. Some people here in tripadvisor write wrong things about this hotel and I know why. I was here and this place is a perfect Argentinian 4 stars hotel. People who read tripadvisor should first know that hotels quality are... More
