About 30-40 minutes out of town. The rooms were clean but in need of some maintenance, the bathroom window fell off the hinges. The bed was comfortable but overall the whole place looks a little tired. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. The packed meal we ordered was excellent providing a salad with various dressings, an apple, a meat filled... More

The room was nice and clean, Comfortable bed, but the water pressure was non existent, barely a trickle came out of the shower. Could have used two big towels instead of just one, since i have long hair and i'd like to be able to wrap it up after a shower The there's no internet in the rooms, only in... More

Thumbs up: Excellent breakfast!!! Room's size is OK, mattresses are pretty good. Sauna is great but you must pay about 8 US$ to use it! Thumbs down: The hotel is located "in the middle of nowhere" about 3 mi/4.5 kms from town. There's no means to get into town except taxi. The restaurant is not worth much, the dishes seem... More

We arrived on Christmas day 2013 & stayed 2 nights, the whole place needs an overhaul, the hotel is old and tired. The rooms incl. bathrooms, reception area, bar & restaurant are old and dark. Not sure what the other reviews meant by the breakfast are great as the breakfast is basically all sugar - being cakes, sweet liquid yoghurts,... More

A bit out of town, but an amazing view from the bedrooms we had. The hotel is in need of some renovations, especially the bathrooms...however it was very warm and comfortable and great, helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast and because of location, we ate in the dining room every night (3) The food was excellent and not overpriced. A pity there... More

Stayed here in February only one night. Hotel is right by the beach. In El Calafate you don`t have many choices. But the hotel interior was beatiful, the bar was nice, food was excellent anf the service ok. Rooms were clean and normal. The hotel lobby was really something. worth the stay if you drop there.

We stayed here for two nights towards the end of our tour of Patagonia. All arrangements were made through our guide service. The room we were given was large with a king bed, view of the lake, clean and plenty of hot water (really what more do you need). We arrived late in the evening from El Chaten and ate... More

Stayed at the Koi Aiken at the beginning of April and we were the only guests! The hotel was due to close for the winter the following week as the "season" was coming to an end. However, a warm welcome in two ways! Firstly the friendly receptionist who offered us a glass of Calafate liqueur in white wine when we... More

Koi Aiken isn't much to look at and it's quite a long walk from downtown Calafate, but it's actually a really nice place to stay for a night or two. To welcome us, we were given a sort of kir royal but made with bubbly and Calafate liqueur (local berries that give the town its name). Great start, and from... More

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in December, 2011. Its ranking is really dubious. I would liken it to a B & B. The rooms are small and the furnishing jaded. The only redeeming points were the view and the friendly front office staff, There was an awkward incident when we dined at the hotel’s restaurant one night... More
