My wife and I had high hopes when we arrived at the Quijote Hotel. It is well located being only one block off the main street. The front entrance is quite nice as well as the grounds. However, slowly our opinion of the place decreased to the point where I would definitely not recommend this place to a friend. This... More

Although this hotel is certainly well located, near to the Main Street....the room we got fell well short if that advertised on their website.....small, dark and rather dingy where I could clearly make out every word.... That the couple next door were saying....

We had booked Las Cabanitas, but decided not to stay after seeing the very basic room they offered. The Quijote was closer to the main street and, although more expensive, we felt was worth it. The room and service were very good. A couple of small niggles - the TV was old and with very limited channels and, as told... More

Huge and garish, the lobby of the El Quijote Hotel in El Calafate feels like a set from a 1970s movie. Somehow, however, it just works. The rooms are dated as well (only twin beds), but they're quiet and located far enough away from the lobby to give you a feeling of privacy. The beds were comfortable. The Internet is... More

Awesome location - just one block from the main street with lots of stores/restaurants etc. so a very short walk. Super convenient. Friendly and professional staff. Wifi access. Great breakfast buffet. Room was large, comfortable, clean. You'll enjoy the lobby area where you can lounge around right next to the hotel bar. We stayed 3 nights and would definitely go... More

Set in a great location one block back from the main street, our stay at this hotel was excellent. The staff were efficient & friendly. The room was large, clean and had a great window seating area where we could sit & relax, open the windows & enjoy the sun. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with a bath & shower... More

It's amazing how at the end of the earth (Calafate in Argentina approaches this exact end) people are able to maintain such excellent hotel. Decoration of lobby and dining room makes you feel in fairy tale. Rooms are extremely clean, everything works, staff is extremely helpful and welcome. To the breakfast I would ask for some omelet or the other... More
