This is the first critical review I have posted on Tripadvisor, obviously I've been very fortunate in the past! This hotel is situated very close to the main tourist area but that comes at a price. Adjacent is Calafate's only disco, convenient if that's your scene, but it's not mine! Dance til dawn really means that, 5am. The vibration from... More

As we enter the room, it appear clean! It had good reviews at trip advisor! But it's a very dirty hotel! I was hanging my clothes on, when i saw a t-shirt hanged! It probably may be from the last guest. But looking at that, it obviously the cleaning room didn't pay attention to that! The bathroom had lots of... More

This hotel should be avoided at all costs. When we checked out we were presented with a printed bill in pesos (as required by law). The manager then quickly crossed out the printed (!) room rate and raised it by more than 100 pesos per night. I caught her and confronted her. She claimed she had to do this because... More

Room was fine and as a couple we were lucky enough to get a room with a double bed rather than two singles. It's one black from the Main Street so well located. That's where the 'good' stuff ends. The green eyed devil was the smoke detector fitted in the room which flashed with two very bright green lights every... More

Front desk staff spoke English, were helpful and competent. Room was clean, quiet, with comfortable bed. Breakfast selections were more extensive than other hotels in Chile/Argentina that I stayed at during the three week adventure tour. Easy access to downtown area.

All was just fine. the room, the bathroom, breakfast. All was just the kind of accommodation we wanted in this amazing place. The location was o.k. for us since we had a car, but using taxi for going to center of town is too expensive

The suite I stayed has 2 storeys, the guest area and bathroom are downstairs and the bedroom is upstairs. That is neat. I had the windows open all the time to get fresh air. It is a cozy, homey hotel. The dining room is small but nicely decorated. It's nice to sit by the glass windows while sipping tea and... More

We arrived in El Calafate late in the night and I had no reservation. We picked the hotel without looking too much around. It was more that what we needed and a bit pricey, but it was in the center, the room was comfortable and the staff at the reception was very friendly. The breakfast was good too.

The hotel appeared to be perfect from the outside. The lobby is clean and ornate. The location really is ideal. BUUT. The rooms are tiny, ours smelled like mildew and the breakfast is awful. The smell of the rooms reminded me of a shower that never fully dried. We left our window open when we were out and about which... More

On first appearances this looked like a good hotel. However, I returned from dinner at about 10.30pm to find that my room was stiflingly hot and the radiator could not be turned off. I went down to reception and was met with a shrug suggesting that this is what the rooms were like, but given a promise that "the girl"... More
