This hotel is a great place to stay while in calafate. Centrally located and across the street from what looks like the argentine version of a country club. This country club is also where they serve a wonderful breakfast. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfy. By the way, there is heat but no AC in the rooms.

If you think you are getting a quiet hotel with a remote location you are wrong. Hell in El Calafate is staying here. If you are staying bring earplugs, the snoring, talking, coughing and toile ting ugh room next door was bad. If you wish to leave the window open to get some fresh air then bring very good earplugs... More

This hotel was pleasant and has a charming old style estancia feel but was no more than 3 stars for me. For example, the rooms were a little warm forcing us to open the windows to cool down and balance room temp. Rooms were also pretty small. We also noticed the hotel did not change the sheets frequently during our... More

The Posada Los Alamos reminds me of American hotels I have visited in our national parks. The style was old-crafted wood with a ski lodge feel to it. The rooms were comfortably large with ample space and seating. The breakfasts, included in the room rate, were rather mundane. One morning, when the dining room was rather crowded, the wait staff... This really is a beautiful low-rise hotel in a quaint little low-rise town (with many many friendly dogs), roomy, beautifully furnished, lovely room, excellent staff, great choice for breakfast, only 2 blocks (< 5 minutes) from main street with it's selection of fine restaurants (lamb is the local dish here), cafe bars and shops, 3 minutes walk from a lovely... Most tourists travel to this remote area for the glaciers, so I was impressed to see such a smart hotel in such a small town. It even has its own little (3 hole) golf course. Sadly, with snow on the ground I did not have a chance to have a swing! The small main street, with all the reataurants, bars... More

This hotel is ideal if you are wanting to stay in the town and be able to walk to the shops and restaurants. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The accommodation is simple but good. There is a spa and they can also organise golf. If you are travelling during winter there is still quite a bit you can... More

We felt a little uneasy because prior to our trip we had read the reviews on here, and there were good ones and not so good ones. First the good things: - We were lucky to stay at this hotel during low season at El Calafate so we got assigned a GREAT room (238). - The hotel structure was beautiful.... More

I've read some negative reviews about this hotel, but must admit, my stay was good. Stayed here 2 nights. Good room facing a quiet street with a very spacious bathroom (the biggest one I've had in Argentina). Two excellent dinners in the hotel restaurant. The breakfast buffet, again, was the most extensive I had in my Argentinian stay though the... More

ynperth How are you? I wish well. Thanks for choosing us and thanks for your comments. Glad you have found a large bathroom and a great choice for breakfast, and these have been the best of Argentina. We will analyze the issue of hot options. I remain available. Sincerely. Mario Guatti More

The hotel is old and the installations are poor, mainly if you consider the prices charged. The room is ok and the bathroom is big but old and the amenities are very poor - they look like free samples of cheap brands. The service is ok. The breakfast is poor, a big buffet but without fresh fruit and variety. The... More
