We stayed here the night before and after our glacier trip. This is a German influenced style hotel with lots of wood. The rooms are spacious and the bed which was a king was comfortable. Breakfast which is a buffet with some hot entrees is included. It is close to the main drag but still quiet. There is a spa... More

I spent 3 nights at this wonderful hotel, enjoyed every moment, great location the staff are very friendly and helpful especially mr Mariano . The rooms are big and very clean, the welcome drink is very tasty the only small complain is about the eggs in the breakfast ver runny. If you travel to El Calafate try this hotel.

Calafate is a small town and being close to the main street is important if you don't want to take taxis everywhere, Kosten Aike is just that - a great hotel, with fantastic service and close to the main street. We were greeted by friendly staff and complimentary drinks on arrival and our bags were taken to the room. Our... More

This hotel was located only two blocks from the main street which made access the small town great. It was very clean and the staff at the hotel were very kind and accommodating and spoke perfect English. If I were forced to pick one thing I didn't like I would say the eggs at breakfast were runny and I didn't... More

We stayed here as part of our Imagine Latin America holiday. From the majority of the reviews we were expecting great things. Staff were not welcoming on arrival at all. The breakfasts were disgusting. We had breakfast out after the first morning. There was no hot water one morning as well although I think that was a mains problem, but... More

This hotel is a 3 minute walk to the main street. Also close to the bus station. The beginning of August when I was there, I have just left, some of the roads away from rown are not sealed, so with the snow melting, the are just mud that you would have to walk through to get to town. This... More

The most quaint and desirable place to stay in Calafate. From the moment you enter the lobby, you are transported to an alpine/Patagonian retreat. Service impeccable, decor and rooms superb, breakfast beyond expectation - the muesli and freshly baked facturas are a must and wonderfully brewed coffee. Thank you to all the staff at Kosten Aike, cannot say enough about... More

From the moment we entered the hotel we were made welcome by the warmth of the staff and their attention. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was simple with a good choice of cereals, breads, pastries and a hot food option. We were out on tours most days and took the packed lunch option... More

The hotel is centrally located, we could walk to everywhere, even when it was rainy and windy. The hotel lobby had a nice welcoming aroma to it. The top floor has a small gym and an cabin like Jacuzzi that has nice city view to it. The service was hit and miss, the front desk was not too friendly, however,... More
