Hostel is in a good location, walking distance to lots of restaurants and cafes. Staff were accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable, however as our room faced the roadside it was quite noisy and could be difficult to get a good nights sleep. Can book tours from this hostel.

The hosteria is mid way between hostel and basic hotel. It is located close to the bus station and within easy walking distance of the town. The lady in charge speaks English. The room we had at the front was so noisy sleep was impossible the traffic noise is relentless all night. We had booked for 2 nights as place... More

This small, clean hostel is located on the main street of El Calafate, Ave del Libertador Gral San Martin, a couple of blocks from the most touristy section (which has more restaurants and tourist stores.) Still, it is within walking distance of that section and the restaurants on this side of the road. There is also a grocery store on... More

Our family of 4 had a unit that was a downstairs living area with trundle bed, bathroom and kitchenette on first floor and loft bedroom with double. We had access to the community kitchen and dining area. Grocery store right next door which has late hours. There was an interior courtyard with hammocks and nice for sitting and hanging laundry.... Clean, comfortable and very friendly small hotel on the edge of the main road in El Calafate. The room was large, with a comfortable bed, strong shower with constant hot water and the breakfast was good. There was free wifi throughout. We had a room at the front on the main road which was a bit noisy at times, but... More

We booked this online but it is cheaper to call/mail them and reserve. We also asked for an airport pickup which they did for 260. A bit more expensive than the airport bus, but faster. This Hosteria is difficult to find as it only has a door because the rooms are above shops. The owner speaks Spanish and Portuguese and... More

The rooms are large, the showers hot, and the hotel staff eager to help. Each room has a large tv and its recently renovated. Be aware, not many people speak English and breakfast is basic. That being said, they really want to help and will do whatever they can. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from town.

This Hosteria was a breath of fresh air. I would call it a nice hotel or B&B (not a hostel). Spacious, high ceilings and impeccably clean rooms and bathrooms. There's a grocery store next door and restaurants are only a few blocks up. Its a bit of a walk with luggage to the bus station, but still doable. There's not... More

This Hostel is very neat and clean. The rooms and bathroom are a little small but great for the price. They have a nice breadfast and the owner is really friendly and nice. We had a few musical jam sessions (where my friend played on one of his guitars). The hostel is a 5 minute walk from the shops and... More

Clean and spacey rooms, with great showers (never thought I'd write about shower as a highlight- but it is!) are just the beginning of the experience of staying in Las Avutardas. The host Andy invite guests and other friends to play, sing and dance together, making this hosteria to a themic island of arts in the midst of windy cold... More
