Even before my partner and I ever left for Argentina, the staff at Los Ponchos stayed in touch with us to help. Arranging transports, recommending restaurants and booking tours. As an owner of a vacation villa in Costa Rica, myself, it's a pleasure to find the kind of "service with a smile" I like to offer to my guests. There... More

Upon our arrival to the hotel we had a very very warm welcome. I felt in the hotel like in home. The romos are exactly like on the pictures. Cosy and clean. Beds are very comfortable. There are two levels. On the ground floor you have a kitchen, small living room and a bathroom and upstairs the bedroom. It is... More

Entering Los Ponchos feels like arriving at home. The warm, helpful and efficient attitude of Natasha and Karina is representative of the excellent service provided by all the staff. Undoubtedly, the leadership and good taste of Damiana, the owner, is found in the simplest detail of this small but great accommodation. The two-floor rooms/apartments, are nicely decorated and well appointed... More

Wow! Sometimes 'boutique' means 'small and poorly run', but in this case, it means 'luxurious, special and with great attention to detail'. This boutique apartment hotel is run as if it were a 5 star luxury hotel. The reception staff are immaculately presented (in very stylish and tasteful uniforms, no less), but personable and genuinely friendly. They seemed like the... More

We visited Argentina 2012 on a private self organized tour and to visit Perito Moreno and go to El Chaltén we booked Los Ponchos. It was a great experience being there - very helpful, great rooms with kitchenette, breakfast served and great views to the lake. They also do rent bicycles. Contact to book the room was very responsive. We enjoyed... More

Beautifully appointed rooms with excellent service on the upper slopes at El Calafate. Floor heating is great on cold nights, excellent room service breakfast with nicely prepared continental meal service. Designer rooms with nice decorations. Excellent reception by the 2 pretty ladies who offered to carry my heavy luggage bags! Feels very much at home. Distance to downhill short distance... More

Staff is very friendly and very helpful in finding churches and places to eat in town. This Apart Boutique hotel is about 5-10minutes by taxi to the center of town ( US$4 approx each way). The suite consists of a full service kitchen ( stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator and wash basin). It comes complete with pots and pans, silverwares and plates,... More

We received such a warm welcome from Natasha who we had spoken to on several occasions on the phone to prior to our arrival after numerous transport problems and changes caused us to arrive a day early. They were very accommodating and proved to be a great help when we requested some help with booking car hire and advice on... More

We stayed in Los Ponchos during our time in El Calafate and really liked it. Location: We didn't mind that Los Ponchos was a bit far out from town. Unless you are in El Calafate to browse their shops and sit in coffee shops, there is really no reason to be at the town centre. Most people I'm guessing are... More

Overall this hotel was very nice. The front desk staff were very helpful in arranging dinner and an outing to an estancia. They can also coordinate a lunch box for you if needed. The maid service was better than most other hotels I have been to as they clean the room several times a day if you go in and... More
