Great service staff for this very nice and cozy hotel. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were very comfortable. Be aware that this hotel is about a 30 minute walk from the central part of El Calafate. We didn't mind the distance, but if you want to be in the middle of town, this isn't the place.

We stayed in this boutique apart-hotel for 3 nights in a beautifully appoints suite. Full kitchen/sitting area downstairs and wonderful bedroom upstairs. (However, the toilet/bathroom is downstairs!) Breakfast delivered to the room. The staff were happy for us to leave some luggage when we went on an overnight trip to El Chalten. A little far from the town, but we... More

This was the best stay in my trip around Argentina. I enjoy luxury bed & breakfast over an ultra-modern large hotel or hostels. I enjoy the character and care given to the décor and the individual attention of smaller establishments and Los Panchos met and exceeded all my expectations. The décor is beautiful, simple and rustic chic. The service was... More

hotel is set apart from the town and the distance to the main area is quite far. ok to get taxis, but the town is so beautiful kind of defeats the purpose also the hotel itself is priced based on our experience of Argentina in the 4 class area. The service is definitely 5 star, but the quality of the... More

About 1,5km from the busy little downtown, this place is perfect if you don't mind to walk and like to be a part from the busyness. Rooms are just great, with a full kitchen, microwave, toaster, fridge and all you need. The breakfast is served in your room and the wi-fi works fine. Staff is so friendly and helpful! We... More

We stayed 3 nights in December and enjoyed Los Ponchos. The apartments are spacious and well-equipped and everyone was super friendly. There are a few tradeoffs to be made though. As other reviewers say, it is remote from town. Just a 10-15 minute walk, but in El Calafate wind/weather, that can be long, especially after a day of glacier trekking.... More

Clean, good service, modern. On the edge of town, but only a five minute cab ride to downtown. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Breakfast is made to order. Our room was the attic and had low ceilings, but slept five, as well as having a kitchenette, dining table and TV. Very good for the area.

We arrived to Los Ponchos on a very early fight from BA with tired and hungry kids. Although our room was understandably not ready, we were provided an after hours breakfast and our room was prepared as quickly as possible. Cecelia Maria and Martine went out of their was to help us. The best service we received in Argentina!

We stayed at Los Ponchos for two nights in November 2014 in support of a hike at the Perito Moreno glacier (natch). The owners went out of their way to help with waylaid bags (the Aerolineas baggage handlers struck the day we flew there) and other items. A very nice, family-run collection of small apartments. The view of the Lago... More

This was a wonderful place with a great staff overlooking Lago Argentino. Cecelia Maria and Martine were very nice people that would help you any way they could with suggestions for food and shopping in the town of El Calafate. It is also near the Perito Merino glacier. The breakfast was very good in a very nice settting along the... More
