Excellent location,a high point in Patagonia, both for historical and for the wonders of the region. Accomodations are very good and hospitality is great. Very well preapred guides and good services. It is worth spending the night and going for the trekking on the second day: a wonderful view of the Upsala glaciar and a walk through a magnificent canyon,... More

An absolute must when visiting Patagonia. While you can visit for a day trip, staying one night and experiencing in effect 2 full days of awe inspiring surroundings is the better way to go. The fossil canyon walk is unforgettable as is the hike to the waterfall. While the accomodations are not plush, they are more than adequate and spotlessly... More

Accessible by boat only that passes by several icebergs that calved off Upsala glacier you arrive at a neatly kept estancia. Friendly staff greets you to get you oriented and all checked in. There are several activities you can choose to participate in from hiking, fishing to horseback riding or just enjoy the fantastic scenery. We were treated to a... More

This estancia and its location had been recommended by a friend who knows his way around Argentina so we made sure to include it in our trip - and are so glad we did! While it's not cheap to stay (many people just do the day tour, which if you can't stay, is still a wonderful experience), we included 2... More

It takes a lot of effort to get to Estancia Cristina and its entirely worth it. Realistically one has to take a four hour flight from BA to El Calafate and then spend a night in El Calafate to catch the bus to the boat first thing in the morning. (Do NOT miss Perito Moreno on your way in or... More

We spent three nights/four days at the estancia and it was the perfect amount of time. Everything from the staff, to the activities, to the scenery, was just amazing. We are a younger couple (early 30's) and very active and we were NOT bored. We hiked a ton, went on two great horseback rides, and one all day guided trek... More

My husband and I stayed at the lodge for 2 nights with 2 other couples. The rooms are large and spacious, the service and food at the lodge were great and we loved the hiking and horseback riding. All the guides were helpful and knowledgeable and wanted to show us a good time.

Estancia Cristina was a unique experience with a sense of history yet with modern day comforts and attentive service. The hiking was challenging and the views of glaciers and mountain peaks was exceptional. The horse back riding provided a sense of a time gone by. To be recommended to any adventuresome soul.

The staff made us feel as special customer every minute. The guides were very professional and taking care of us in all circumstances. The room was facing the wild, and in the night we were alone in the world. That was fantastic !
