We stayed 2 nights. On the outskirts of town in a nice location but a 10 minute plus walk in to town. No complaints but not a great deal of effort from the staff - could have made the place more welcome and inviting

We had booked in Aug and requested a lake view, as the view was worth being out of town. The hotel had confirmed adjoining rooms and view but on our arrival we were told there were no adjoining rooms nor view available. Basic but clean room, the staff was very nice but a bit disappointing as without the view it... More

Lovely hotels and rooms, clean, friendly staff... But the music started around 1 am (separate building maybe 300 ft away!) and stopped around 7 am. Around 4 am, Italked to the clerk at the reception, he told me he would check where it was coming from... Nothing happened and the music continued. I would not recommend this hotel if you... More

We stayed at the Lar Aike at the beginning of October which was the beginning of the Tourist Season. The Hotel is set back a bit from the road and faces a shallow lake across a couple of roads and it is possible to walk along the Boardwalk and onto the Sands and see the Birds and Flamingoes. It is... More

Very nice hotel on edge of town across from Lake Argentino . Good place to stay when visiting Los Glaciares National Park. Free parking in front. The restaurant is Ok but there are better options in town.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and we left we mixed feelings. all in all we would not recommend it as the negatives more then offset the positives. Positives - Services of the receptionists, very attentive and prompt. - Public areas, large and nicely decorated offering a homey atmosphere Negatives - The room was quite small and simple and... Lar Aike Hotel, is almost at the edge of the town. Its location is great, right in front of the lake and one can walk down to the water's edge. The rooms are fine, the lobby small and cosy, but the hotel really doesn't score on food. Specially the hotel as it is away from downtown El Calfate, they should... More

Well maintained inside and outside of hotel. Large rooms Quiet hotel, stunning views. Very clean and fresh. Within 20 min walk to the center. You can book trips at the hotel. Neatly arranged. Refrigerator in room. Wifi was good. Leaky faucets and toilets had a manual. There was otherwise running water down the toilet

We stayed in this dreadful hotel for three nights when on a 3-week trip in Argentina/Chile with Adventures Abroad. When one walks into the lobby one thinks one is about to stay in lovely hotel, that is, until one sees the torn carpeting on the stairs and the rooms. The bathroom in particular was in poor shape but the signs... More

The hotel is clean and has a beautiful view over the lake of El Calafate. We just stayed one night, late arrival and early departure. Because we went to see the magnificent Perito Moreno. Everything was ok, expect for the breakfast where we didn't get any toast, but anyway we had no time to ask for cause we were in... More
