Ok the view is nice and it's not to far of the centre (if you have your own car, if not it's very far), but you can't take a shower (too hot or frozen, never in the middle), the staff is just interested to sell you excursions for a ridiculous price compared to others (I stayed twice at El Calafate).... My wife and I came to El Calafate for 3 nights and booked a room here at Koi Mahik. The hotel was clean, no problem with that, but you get very little for your dollars spent. No warm and fuzzy at this place. The rooms are small, one double bed, one chair, 2 nightstands, and a bath. The sheets are... More

Friendly family owned hotel that is good value. We already had a hire car so the 5 minute drive into town was no problem, but if you don't its a long walk. Good views of the lake, average breakfast and quiet ( but windy, as everywhere is). It was god for all of us with ages ranging from 68 to... More

We spent four enjoyable days here. Juan and his son went out of their way to be helpful. Juan is half-Swiss and, as we live in Germany, we communicated in German. He picked us up at the bus station and gave us a guided tour back to the hotel. Our room at the front had a lovely view of the... More

The Koi Mahik is a very nice, comfortable and very clean hotel with great views of Lago Argentino. It is unfortuantely nto close to the city centre and you will need a tazi ride or 20 min walk to get to the closest shops or restaurants. It is however possible to eat in the same hotel. Very simple but extremely... More

This hotel is run by a very characterful Swiss/ Argentian gentleman. It is quite far out of the main part of town - almost too far to walk comfortably so taxi costs do need to be factored in. The rooms are very basic but clean and as you spend most of your day out, the facilities are adequate. The manager... More

For the price (200 ARS) it's a very nice and clean hotel, rooms are comfortable and spacious. The only thing I didn't like was the water pressure. I\ve had a room on the upper floor and for most of the time, water was moreless dripping, showering was nearly impossible. Also, keep in mind, that this hotel is on the edge... More
