This is a bit overdue, but its been on our to-do list for a while. My husband and I stayed here for the 2 nights we were at El Calafate last year. Adriana and her family made us feel so welcome into their home, giving us handy tips and advice whenever needed. The common area upstairs is lovely to sit... More

I stayed here for a couple of nights and felt very welcome at this family run hosteria. Adriana and her husband made us feel at home. Adriana made us a home cooked meal for lunch and dinner for a reasonable price as we were too tired to walk into town. The room was big enough for us, but we spent... More

We spent almost a full week at Rukahue. It became our local base for excursions in and around El Calafate. The Hosteria was exactly the type of place we were hoping to find: homish, warm, cozy, affordable and service oriented. It certainly played an important role in our overall excellent experience at this wonderful tourist region. But there is more.... More

I stayed here for 1 night, it is bit far to walk to town centre. This place is up the hill. The road to the town centre is not very good. El Calafate is a vert windy place. It is ok if you take the taxi or you have a car. The staffs are very helpful. The breakfast was good.... More

Yes the room was small and yes the shower was tiny but Rukahue is all about hospitality. Adriana is such a lovely woman; we just felt totally at home during our stay. Breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed the common areas of the hosteria - there is a seating area upstairs with great views of Lago Argentino where you... More

We recently stayed a Rukahue' spending two days in Calafate and around Perito Moreno glacier. The B&B is a cozy wooden villa just outside Calafate city center (literally 10 minutes away from the centre, which you can reach with a convenient walk or by taxi for less than 40 pesos if you are lazy), well kept and very clean. Rooms... More

We arrived to sound of construction (constant hammering) on the 2nd floor. We were asked to check out the room by the owner (Audriana) and if we liked it we can confirm the booking. The room was dark (like a cave) mainly because of the wind in El Calafate kept Audriana from opening the hatches on the windows. This was... More

I had the goal of finding a hostería that was close to town, comfortable, and affordable. Hostería rukahué was all of that and more- Adriana, the owner, was so kind and attentive we felt extremely welcome and having her as a host made it unforgettable!

By far one of the best hosterias I have ever stayed at. The location on a hilltop overlooking the town was great--quiet and peaceful. The owners both lovely people; the woman gave hugs and kisses both on arrival and departure. Good breakfast with homemade breads. A bit of a walk downhill (uphill back) to town but not bad--and I am... More

The hospitality in this hosteria can not be beat. The place is warm & inviting. Small touches go a long way like the homemade breads and jams. The picture window in the second floor common area is great for watching the sun set over snowy peaks.
