Can't recommend this hosteria highly enough. Lovely rooms, with fantastic views from the property over el calafate. A little walk from the Main Street but only 10 -15 minutes and it's more than worth the walk! The lady who owns the property with her family is fantastic. So welcoming and homely! Breakfast is superb and the best we have had... More

А домашняя выпечка и джемы к завтраку, которые готовит хозяйка - просто объедение :) I liked this small family... More

Warmest of welcomes, great homemade breakfasts and cosiest of stays! Ariana and her son Santiago will do everything in their power to make sure your stay runs smooth, always available and happy to help with booking trips, taxis, food deliveries and serving up a treat of a breakfast of toast and jams, croissants and cakes (different flavours every day). The... More

This is a very nice hotel close to Calafate main street which I recommend to all you Patagonia travelers who look for comfort at a good price! It is very clean and the host is a lovely family. The hotel does not have many rooms which gives a nice cozy and rustic feeling. It is situated a little bit higher... More

What a happy surprise! My fiancé and I had just stayed in a pretty bad place in Puerto Natales so we were so happy when we walked in the door of Rukahue! Warm, friendly, and CLEAN! The room was normal size with a good closet and extra blanket if needed. Hot water anytime! Wifi and if needed she had a... More

Excellent place to stay, the whole house its made in wood, quite warm, the rooms are big enough, nice hot shower, the hotel its not in the downtown, so its quite easy to sleep after returning from the glacier. Its only 7 min walking. The owners are very nice, they runs the whole thing, huge breakfast, wifi in every room,... More

The reviews are pretty spot on but here's my two cents anyways: Pros: -Very nice, friendly hosts. -Rooms are clean and comfortable. -Shower was hot and good pressure. -Breakfast was readily available, coffee was hot and plentiful. -Wifi was weak Cons: -They only take cash. We booked through Booking.com and wish we could have used our credit card to pay... More

Chose this hotel following the recommendations found on TA and its pretty accurate . The hotel is located on a hill 15 mn walk from libertador Main Street ( easy on the way down , better take a cab on your way back from the center). The rooms are ok but don't expect something breathtaking . The real value of... More

My boyfriend and I were in El Calafate over Christmas and we were looking for a cheap place to stay that was comfortable. Rukahue is the spot! The family that runs the hosteria is so nice. Our room was modest and comfortable with it's own private bathroom and the communal area was very spacious. It was only a 10-15 minute... More

Adriana, Santiago and family: By the time my new husband Rich and I made it down to the South of Argentina, we were admittedly weathered. Santiago was the smiling face that welcomed us in from the (incredibly) high winds outdoors. His English was near-perfect, which was such a relief given how spent we were. He never tired, or at least... More
