We came to Estancia el Condor to add some riding to our Patagonian trip, and to see an area that isn't on the usual route. First, the scenery at Lago San Martin in incredible, and different from what you see at El Calafate and El Chalten. It is much more rugged and moist, and even within the Estancia you experience... Arriving to El Condor is an experience, it is MILES from ANYWHERE! It is a place to be seen to be believed. It's definitely all about the location and the people. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. But you should not be in your room much here! The few hours of electricity and lack of signal are a... More

The trip from Calafate to EL Condor was amazing. 4 hours and viewing only a few houses and not 1 in the last 2 hours drive. It is very far away from the fast pace world and brings you to beautiful nature for an authentic and very basic experience. Due to the remoteness, expect basics in many ways. Limited heated... More

We were the only guests, it being early in the season, and we were enchanted bu the place and the amazing Lago San Martin. Our only criticism was the absence of non riding activities. We did, however, have wonderful walks in the hills above the estancia and, unlike in other parts of Patagonia, we felt free to roam. Arian's cooking was... More

We travelled to El Condor as a family with adult children in Dec 2011. We have travelled extensively around the world and stayed in some pretty amazing places. El Condor is certainly in an amazing location (the road to get there is a good chunk of the experience). There are three things you expect from any quality accommodation - a... More

If it is your dream to go to the end of the earth and experience breathtaking scenery, great adventure riding, fine accomodations, and a friendly courteous staff this is your place. It is not the easiest place to get to but well worth the effort. It was the highlight of our visit to Argentina. It was a five hour drive... More

El Condor is located about 5 hours from El Calafate. It is a fun car ride mainly on gravel road which gives an excellent opportunity to see pampa & wildlife. El Condor is not a working estancia, but it is beautifully situated at Lago San Matin, offering plenty of activities such as hiking, fishing & horsebackriding. The guesthouse itself was... More
