The hotel is by the shore of the Lake Mascardi, in the National Park Nahuel Huapi. You can hike, go fly fishing, birdwatching, ride on horses, sail on kayaks and enjoy nature. The hotel is comfortable and after being outdoors it is great to have good meals and a good place to stay and relax. There is no town nor... More

We arrived at Hotel Tronador after a three hour kayak trip down the coast of Lake Mascardi and immediately began to relax and unwind at this beautiful remote lodge. The attention to detail around the property with all the fresh flowers, use of locally grown food in the dining room, and small touches provided by the staff all made for... More

A once in a lifetime experience. Wonderful Hotel. Even Better people. If you're looking for a place where you can find relaxation at its fullest, then you're in the right one. We've stayed here several times with my family, and it keeps getting better. The rooms, the library, the restaurant, THE VIEW!! all areas of the hotel come with a... More

Hotel Tronador is a rare gem. It has it all from setting to service to outings that can only be provided by lifelong locals. This experience is truly among the best in category in the world from location and beauty within a National Park, to fishing to hiking to horseback riding to food that is grown or made on premises.... This is the first hotel that I have ever walked out on, and the happiest part of the visit was the realisation that we did not put down a deposit! After an argument about our room and the fact that our table in the restaurant for all meals during our stay was to be the one furthest from the window... More

A wonderful hotel isolated in the middle of a national park. Great hiking in the area with astounding views. You can take a short hike to the waterfalls around the Hotel or take a long hike to the other side of the lake and around the mountain. The staff is friendly and very attentive to your needs. I would highly... More

We spent 5 days in February, 2013, at the Hotel Tronador and it was beautiful. Although alot of the staff does not speak English and our Spanish was very basic, with the help of Beatrice, the lovely owner, and our waitress, we were made to feel so welcomed that we did not find this to be a problem. The hotel... More

Hard to find words to describe the combination of natural beauty, privacy and attention one can get at this place. This was my 6th lake week excursion in southern Patagonia and it was the best, by far. We discovered a family hotel ran by the 4th generation that should be declared part of Argentina’s national heritage. Twelve suggested beautiful trails... More

Perfect lakeside setting with glacier and mountain views . Think Lake Louise / Canadian Rockies / Banff only better without the crowds, cars, and at small fraction of the cost. We will definitely make the long trip again from the U.S. to revisit this jewel. Gracious family led by Beatrice and her son, Benito who own and operate the hotel... More
