It's hard to know where to start with this place, so I'll just list the reasons why it's so awful 1. Rude, arrogant and obnoxious receptionist (the guy in the afternoon). I think he believed he was being funny, but he managed to insult the English, Chileans and Americans within 5 minutes with his "hilarious" comments. And his answers to... More

We were deeply desappointed with this so-called 4 star resort, which seems to be in desperate need of manteinance as you can see when you walk around (we heard the property is currently on sale). At the begining we liked the hotel and decided to book a room for our whole stay, mainly because of the indoor/outdoor swimming pool. We... More

Although the hotel faces the lake, you cannot see the lake from almost anywhere in the hotel. The hotel is in desperate need of thorough cleaning. We stayed four nights. The much publicised hotel restaurant was closed during the whole of our stay. The only food we could get was breakfast (toast, ham and cheese). No food was available in... More

We spent 5 nights between Chistmas and New Years. Very pretty place on the lake and off the main road. Quirky decor with midcentury modern together with dyed animal skins. Very nice large rooms. Hotel is about 10 km outside of town (a very good thing, Bariloche is noisy and loaded with tee shirt shops and English pubs). You really... More

Found this site accomodation on-line, and crossed my fingers it would be good. It is OUTSTANDING. We were greeted @ the airport by a driver and taken to the Peñon. Only 27 rooms. This is low season, so only $135 per night, for a large King bed room which includes breakfast, and lunch or dinner. Staff goes out of it's... More

Stayed here January 2007 and it spoiled an otherwise wonderful trip to Argentina. Do not believe any of the web-site or guide info that suggests this place provides "activities" of any sort included in the price. It provides none and seeks to charge for arranging any. You also need a car as it is 14km out of town on a... More
