The Aldebaran Hotel is a beautiful hotel with a spectacular view. It is a bit out of town but it great for absolute peace and quiet and stargazing at night. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel grounds are pretty and the spa area is very nice. The breakfast was very good as was the room service fare.... More

Outstanding location in one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. The hotel is elegant and unpretentiously designed. You have the feeling of being secluded in a remote location when in reality you are at only 25 minutes from the center of Bariloche. The rooms are large and clean with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The... More

The scenery in Bariloche is amazing and Hotel Alderbaran’s setting definitely lived up to expectations. It is about 20km outside Bariloche town, down a dirt track on a peninsula. They advised us to hire a car (which they organised) and it was definitely needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us organised restaurants, walks and riding expeditions. Two of... The hotel is 30mins drive from Bariloche and down a long dirt track. Other decent restaurants are about 20 mins drive. We got sick of driving for an extra half hour every day. The menu in the hotel doesn't change and mushrooms appeared in 3 out of the 5 choices. There was no butter at breakfast but having asked for... More

It's out of town, tucked away on a peninsula with a fabulous view of the lake and surroundings. The building and grounds were very stylish, the room was comfortable, but the best part was the staff - Jose at the front desk and the two women who served us breakfast and dinner. Oh, and the meals were wonderful! One night... More

We stayed at the hotel Aldebaran during our three week tour of Argentina at the start of the season. The hotel was ideal as it was situated away from hustle and bustle of Bariloche, on the outskirts of town. The hotel had views over the imposing lake. It was spotlessly clean, staff friendly and very accommodating and the food was... More

Aldebaran is a 10-room hideaway perched on a peninsula about 20 minutes west of downtown Bariloche. The views (of the lake, the woods, the mountains, and a glacier) are spectacular, and the contrast with busy Bariloche is great, but the main appeal is the staff, especially Jose, the head of the house. At such a small place, you really feel... More

Initially we didn't plan to stay in Bariloche and we were to drive directly to San Martin de Los Andes instead. However we ended up having to spend one night in Bariloche which wasn't an easy task considering the amount of hotels one can choose from. Luckily we picked up Aldebaran with its wonderful location outside of Bariloche, amazing views... More

Lovely food, great location and very helpful, friendly staff. We loved this place and there is plenty to do in the area. Also it is very quiet at night which we loved. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who gave us helpful advice and booked one of the boat-trips we did for us!

As we drove through Bariloche, we realized it was much more touristy than we expected. We were THRILLED to drive out of the city to the peninsula where Aldebaran is located. Our own little haven! We ended up eating at the hotel restaurant, Sirius, all three nights as we found the food to be delicious and enjoyed being a bit... More
