I ummed and arghed a lot before selecting this hotel. I worried about whether it was in the main part of Bariloche and too far from all the attractions. Well let me assure you the location is perfect. It's located 15kms from airport (240 pesos in a taxi), and is in the main part of town about 1.5 blocks from... More

While the hotel is centrally located downtown, clean and has a breakfast included, I think that you can do better for the money. Through our travel agent, we asked for an upper room facing the lake about six months ahead of our visit. Although the hotel is located a couple blocks from the lake, we thought some fresh air and... This is a comfortable base in Bariloche . Very well attended to at the reception. Best to choose one of the upgraded rooms as the standard rooms whilst comfortable are not very exciting. Breakfasts were quite satisfactory . The hotel has the benefit of an underground garage and very convenient to off load luggage in the main entrance.

Depending on the source, this hotel is rated as either 4- or 5-star. My experience would seem to suggest that the grading is an accumulation of ratings from the past few years: it is certainly not 4-star and would struggle to meet a 3-star category. In essence the staff are happy and friendly, the location reasonably close to the town... More

This hotel is well located, near all the good places to visit in Bariloche. The breakfast is delicious, with many choices to eat good. The staff is polite and helpful, but the rooms are not so big, just confortable. The average rate is good for all pockets. We were there during spring and Bariloche is a beautful citie all year... Comfortable hotel with all international standards. A bit outdated though, rooms need to be refreshed. Nice indoor pool on the roof and breakfast is very enjoyable. Probably prefer upper floors for a nice view on the lake and mountains. 3/5

Good things about this hotel are: Great location in the center of Bariloche (good if you do not have a car). Service is excellent. Very friendly, helpful front desk staff who spoke English, and accommodated any request we made. There is a travel agency located in the hotel lobby "Vivir Viajes" and Alejandro Daniel, who is the contact there, is... More

Checked into the hotel to be told we were being upgraded to a superior room, which sounds like a great start. However, the only thing superior was the room size, this hotel is seriously in need of a make over and updating. As the whole area is Swiss influenced, so us the style of the hotel. Bathroom taps very antiquated... More

Stayed two nights with a tour group. Changed room after first night as it was dismal and overlooked an internal light well and had two single beds that were not the most comfortable. Second room was much improved with comfortable king sized beds and overlooked a busy road with partial view of the lake in the distance. (forgot room numbers).... More

I liked Edelweiss hotel but expected nicer rooms here. Service is outstanding, everyone is really attentive and want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We changed rooms after one night because ours had no wifi and it was super noisy. Had to settle for twin beds to get a better room since there was no better room with... More
