I stayed here for 3 nights in March. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the showers were always hot! The kitchen is really well equipped and clean and it feels really homely. The owners are really helpful, friendly and approachable - they were more than happy to give directions and advice. I really enjoyed my stay here and... More

This is hands down the place to stay in Bariloche. Ignore the previous review below about plumbing and room conditions, the showers are always hot, the bathrooms are clean, the bedrooms are immaculate. And I've been here 6 times since October. Free tea and coffee for 24hours is provided, and they bake the bread for breakfast in house. As an... More

I have been to Bariloche 4 times and stayed here each time as it is such a lovely hostel with a homely feel. The kitchen is so well equipped and the owners even provide teabags, spices etc for you. Really nice rooms with comfy beds and lovely hot showers. Naty and Javi the owners are so friendly, accommodating and helpful,... More

The rooms are in a very bad condition, especially the ones downstaires. The bathrooms are even worse. They put a cleaning cloth infront of the shower instead of a bathmap. Never hand in your laundry. The cleaning lady has to wash it all by hand cold and hangs it in the storageroom to dry. When we got them back they... More

Nathy, Javi and all the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Only 10mins bus ride to Bariloche centre. If you really want to experience Bariloche area stay out of the center and enjoy the gorgeos views of the mountains and lake. Enjoy it!

The Alaska Hostel became our family's beloved home away from home for three weeks in October and November of 2014. The Hostel's staff, owners and fellow guests became our family - it was hard to leave. The hostel itself is fantastic, with a great layout and fantastic location. We loved being equidistant from the city centre and the attractions to... More

This is one of the nicest hostels I've stayed at in South America. It resembles a ski chalet and is really quaint, clean, spacious and always warm. We were warmly welcomed by Natalie who went to great lengths to explain everything that we could do around Bariloche. You really felt at home here. We stayed in a double room which... More

On a quiet street along the main bus route which skirts the lake, Hostel Alaska is comfortable, clean, has a great kitchen and is run by an extremely friendly couple. We stayed here twice on our trip and would go again. If you're looking to party in Bariloche stay in town, but if you're up for sitting around with some... More
